Sorry for the confusion earlier...I probably could/should have chosen my words differently or made my point differently.

No, it's placing the thing you apparently don't care about above something else. That's not the intent of that statement. Instead it would seem preferable to say that you could you could not care less than whatever else which places it at the bottom of the heap, which obviously is your intent.

    Here's what Webster says:

    Ha !...maybe you should have read the entire article you linked from Merriam Webster;

    Correct Usage: Either
We understand why could care less sticks in your craw: it appears to mean something rather opposed to what it purports to mean. The person who says “I could care less” is, on the face of it, stating “Yes, it would be possible for me to care less deeply about this matter than I do, and therefore I am betraying some unspecified degree of care.” But if you are the kind of person who cries out against this abomination we must warn you that people who go through life expecting informal variant idioms in English to behave logically are setting themselves up for a lifetime of hurt.

Both could and couldn’t care less are informal, and so you are unlikely to use either one in formal writing. If you have need of using it in some other context, and would like to avoid alienating some portion of your audience you should stick with couldn’t care less. And if you can’t get past some people continuing to use could care less, and the fact that there’s nothing you can do about it, you may console yourself with the notion that at least they are not saying “I could care fewer.”

You're wrong, it doesn't stick in my craw as I pointed out in a previous post. And yes it's now acceptable but only because the erroneous use of the expression has gone on so long that people have accepted it. It still doesn't change the fact that it was and still in some ways is grammatically incorrect.
All you have to do is ask me if something sticks in my craw and I will answer truthfully. Also, you should check with me before saying I didn't fully read the link. Just ask, I'm here to answer.

Lanny, my God, what are you talking about?

Those weren't my words, they were copied and pasted from the article you linked.

    Here, here's a screenshot...calm down.

Why not say that in your response?

Because I shouldn't have had to...The "We" should have tipped you off and the many quotations should also have been made it obvious they weren't my words.

Jesus tap dancing christ...if I was responding to you using my words, why would I use the word "We" instead of "I"?

I don't know since you didn't reference it.
But I'm really tired of going round and round on a truly insignificant issue.
Let me sum it up by saying that I need things spelled out clearly. You wouldn't believe the number of high level meetings I was involved with at Boeing that turned into raging shouting matches over simple misunderstandings. That kind of brought home to me the importance of spelling things out very clearly. Consider it one of my hard earned faults. It's my fault, not yours. That's just the way I am.
Can we please drop it? It really isn't important to me. You're one of the last people I want to argue with about anything unless you're going to make a snide remark about my frilly shoes with the ruffles.

I have zero interest in READING this thread.
I read one page and shook my head.
Then went on to state it is taught you're supposed to walk/run/jog against traffic at an early age.
Where it's the opposite as a bicyclist.
But again I do not wish to read this thread.
I do, did, have, insert verb this lynching. But I don't wish to insert verb on this site.

I'm unclear on what you're trying to say especially the why part.

Now, as it turns out, it has become known the police had the video this whole time. Yet, they did nothing.

What I don't get is if the video was so incriminating why would they give that kind of evidence to the police?

From what I understand, the guy who actually took the video may face charges too.

"The cell phone footage was taken by William 'Roddie' Bryan, a neighbor of the McMichaels.

Director of the GBI Vic Reynolds said Friday that Bryan could also be arrested for his part in the murder after he watched and shot the footage of the attack. "
