It would be impossible for the Suns to work an Amare-KG trade. Amare makes 10 million less then KG which means the Suns would have to add Kurt Thomas just to balance out salaries and it would leave the Suns with Garnett as the only player taller then 6'8.RotationNash-DienerBell- BarbosaFA (Grant Hill)- James JonesMarion- KGKG- DiawMore importantly it would kill the Suns financially. To further prove this point.Currently under contract:KG: 25.3 (22 + 15% trade kicker) Marion: 16.44 Nash: 11.375 Diaw: 9 Barbosa: 5.6 Bell: 4.75Banks: 3.888Jones: 2.904Pike: 1.22Total salary of 9 above: 80.477 millionBench#24: .87#29: .78FA (Hill): 2FA (Diener): 1Total: 4.65Total team salary: 85.127Luxury tax (assuming tax line is at 68 million): 17.127Total Team Payroll: $ 102,254,000 There is no chance in hell Sarver would pay that so you would then be looking at a Shawn Marion salary dump which would effectively make this a Marion and Amare for KG deal and KG on his best day is nowhere near good enough to give up both Marion and Amare.

And the TWolves would still get more than in a trade with the Lakers. Garnett did say that Phoenix was where he wanted to go and that's what this discussion has become. It's a good thread, but if someone wants to move it to a team forum it's okay.
Bennett Salvatore, Dick Bavetta, and Steve Javie for 2 burritos, a box of Fiddle Faddle, and half of a 2 liter Coke. It's a blockbuster for the NBA! Talk about value added!!!

Hmm...Just kidding kind of. The Spurs do get a lot of calls, but it's just because they seem pretty skilled at fouling and know how to get away with it. Not like those LA teams when Shaq just ran people over and there were always no calls. :no1:
