The Portland Thunder have been assigned offensive lineman Stanley Daniels, a five-year NFL veteran who has played for the Rams, Jets, Packers, Broncos and Browns. "Protecting the quarterback is goal number one for us," said Head Coach Matthew Sauk. "Stanley's a strong, quick blocker who can give us time for routes to develop and for the offense to make big plays." Daniels (6-4, 310) started 24 games at the University of Washington before being signed by the St. Louis Rams in 2007 as an undrafted free agent. In 2010, he was called up to the active roster for the Denver Broncos, where he started several games at left guard. 2014 will be his first action in the Arena Football League. The Portland Thunder will kick off its inaugural season at the Moda Center on Monday, March 17th when they take on the San Jose SaberCats. Season tickets are available for purchase starting as low as $99 by calling 503-773-4AFL or by visiting www.portlandthunder.com. Press release from the Portland Thunder
