Looks like you're once again trying to manufacture some kind of issue with me.
In this case- when I said:
I'll go out on a limb and say there are some mgrs who "stand up" for their principals and for the good of the team more so than others....

You should know better by now ....

    Define "buck management".
By your very question as it pertains to Girardi/Tex, you OBVIOUSLY believe if Girardi were to bench Tex *he would be risking his job - thus, by YOUR OWN STANDARDS, whenever a mgr bench's a player he is risking his job and "bucking management".

lol, you would've had more integrity and class regarding this non issue if you just stuck to your deranged anti-Cashman mindset and narrative by simply saying Cashman should "order" Girardi to sit Tex for ✖ amount of time/games.

Now get the heck outta here. Go pick a fight with someone else.

    *edit

Time to call on the Yesmen!

...ahh, and there it is...(I'm a martyr and I'm somehow pretending that I'm taking the high road)

...this is coming from the same individual who incessantly hijacks threads and did so again last night. And for the umpteenth time, stop acting as if I'm the only person on this board who takes issue with the way Cashman is "managing this team. As far as I know you're the only one who comes to his defense time after time.

...and I'm not "manufacturing" anything...you made a statement I took exception to, simple as that...now, back up your statement with some something tangible.or shut the fuck up and stop whining.

I have had it with Cashman for a while as have any others. The team is mediocre and more importantly until proven otherwise I think the farm and prospect pool is mediocre. Without going out and spending more money who's coming to save this franchise?

...much too flawed to sustain any sort of offensive consistency. And it's a shame because the talented and producing players are overshadowed by mediocrity and in some cases, downright suckage.

I hear Rick is missing, but has been spotted out here with Bruceifer holding Drag Races on Hollywood Blvd......yep, drag races on Hollywood Blvd. Ya' know, Stilleto's, mini-skirts or hot pants, with a LAPD 100 feet behind, when the gun goes off-....

Richelle sighting....guess I'll exchange those Pink Boa's (since they won't match the peachy camisole)....for some fire engine red Stilleto's Xtra Hi-heels, xtra high since he's in Caly......hiding in a dispensary....!

Obviously, when flying back home after the West Coast swing, they shipped the Yanx bats to Kathmandu, or anywhere but NY....

    TOUGH LOSS- this one stings.
Lose 2/3 to the team which beat the Yanks like a cheap drum last September and took the division from them.
    The offense is indeed lousy.

Funny thing, and unfortunately for the Yankees:
Last year they were in first by 0.5 games at 24-22.
They had scored 213 runs and allowed 199.
NOW they're 0.5 games out of last place at 22-24, and SEVEN games out of first.
..have scored 179 runs and allowed 198

Yanks got two well pitched games from Nova and CC, lost both, and 2/3
Not a good omen. Especially with Boston having one of their rampaging offenses.

I read there's a chance they resign him to a new minor league deal. They didn't designate him because they felt somebody would've grabbed him off waivers. By releasing him they have a chance to bring him back.

Wow, I didn't hear that (yet), love how Heathcott plays with a fiery passion, ... Yanx #1 draft pick in 09...

Hope the risk, doesn't bite the Yanx in the ass....

    Yankees Release Slade Heathcott
By Steve Adams | May 26, 2016 at 7:46pm CDT

7:46pm: Jennings reports in a full column that the Yankees are not planning on attempting to re-sign Heathcott this time around. He’ll look to latch on with a new organization.

7:41pm: The Yankees announced today (via Twitter) that they’ve released former outfielder and top prospect Slade Heathcott in order to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for left-hander Richard Bleier, whose contract was selected earlier today. As Chad Jennings of the Journal News points out (Twitter link), the Yankees likely felt that designating Heathcott would’ve led to a waiver claim by another team, so releasing him gives the Yanks a chance to re-sign him on a new minor league contract.

Heathcott, 25, was the 29th overall pick in the 2009 draft and rated as the game’s No. 63 overall prospect heading into the 2013 season on the heels of a .302/.380/.461 season at Class-A Advanced as a 21-year-old. However, his production at Double-A in 2013 failed to mirror those numbers, and he wound up missing the majority of 2014 due to injuries (which have been a recurring theme for Heathcott throughout his minor league career). This past offseason, BA rated him as the team’s No. 18 prospect, praising him as an above-average defender in center field with an above-average arm and the ability to hit to all fields. Despite that quality review, though, Heathcott hasn’t performed at the Triple-A level to date, batting just .257/.303/.334 in 368 plate appearances there (including a .230/.271/.310 line there in 97 PAs this season). He did perform well in a small sample of 30 Major League PAs last year, collecting 10 hits (including two homers and two doubles) in 25 at-bats.

Nonetheless, that package of plus defense and a solid approach at the plate could indeed pique the interest of other organizations, though it’s worth noting that the Yankees have previously non-tendered and re-signed Heathcott to a minor league contract back in 2014. Whether that’s the case again remains to be seen, but the Yankees do have a fairly crowded outfield mix. Brett Gardner, Jacoby Ellsbury, Carlos Beltran and Aaron Hicks are all options at the big league level, while slugging right fielder Aaron Judge looms at the Triple-A level.

good question, I can't recall seeing Beltran KO 4 times, with any team he's ever been on. Tried finding the answer to no avail.....someone has that info., in the deep annals of records player by player...

his 2012 St. Louis Post Season was mind boggling. I often imagine having that caliber of Carlos in the OF, as talk often mentions replacing him in RF. I know there's a big diff b/t 39 and 35, and its not going to happen. Yet, I also realize, he was surrounded by gung ho talent up the kazoo, a Team on fire, that shared in the fire......

that's what this team is missing on a regular basis. 6 consecutive losses, 6 consecutive Wins. Up n down, much like last years run variance, either they aren't hitting and scoring, or are winning big....not as much variance yet, but its hard to believe in a team that doesn't play in a consistent flat line manner, in lieu of up n down play....when your DH is a 42 yr old washed up n out Juicer, well that damn near says it all,...imho...!

    Consistency is under rated....?
