Interesting to read the police report. He wasn't pulled over while driving; he was stopped in a right lane. Police observed him for 20 minutes before interacting with him. Nobody ever actually saw him operate the motor vehicle. I wouldn't be surprised if a lawyer ends up getting it reduced to unlawful stopping.
The car was totally fucked up though. Two of the tires were flat. The bumpers were all crunched. I think it would be hard to make that case. But at the same time, do they convict people who have diabetic episodes while driving?
Yeah--hadn't heard that originally; that probably changes things a bit. I wonder if someone's going to come forward and claim to have been hit by him.
This could rapidly change if he injured or killed someone. I bet the cops are doing a check into any possible damage that was done.
