<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> The San Antonio Spurs have announced that they have placed forward Tim Duncan on the injured list with a grade II right ankle sprain. Duncan, who is expected to miss 2-4 weeks, has appeared in 62 games averaging 20.9 points, 11.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.68 blocks in 34 minutes per game this season.</div> Link He could end up missing over 13 games If it is 4 weeks but the word is he will only be out for 2.
And still the Spurs continue to win. The job the GM and coaching staff has done with this team is brilliant, amazing, superb, and any other positive adjective you can think of. I still hate the Spurs, but I have the utmost respect for the team and franchise. This could hurt the Spurs chance at getting the #1 seed in the playoffs, but when all is said and done does that even matter? Nope. The injury to Duncan will just give the other Spurs more court time and confidence, which will play huge dividends in the playoffs. I think the Spurs are one of four teams who can maintain a high level of play with their star player out. Only the Sonics (w/o Allen), Heat (w/o Wade or Shaq), and the Pistons (w/o Big Ben) don't skip a beat without their stars. Also the Grizzlies have showed great resolve, but I wouldn't put Gasol in the same class as Allen, Wade, Shaq, or Big Ben.
latest according to the latest reports he will probably miss the remainder of the regular season.....http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2018499
