Well, it wasn't a great offensive game, but our defense looked pretty good. I got to see the game because of the NBA League pass free trial. It's pretty sweet. Garnett didn't get a double double. but he got 20 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 blocks. Sprewell led the team in assists with 6, but only had 4 points. Gary Trent again was solid off the bench. Olowokandi played very well, scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Ebi saw his first minute today, but of course it was junk time. http://www.nba.com/games/20031101/TORMIN/boxscore.html
I dont understand what is with Garnett. Last year he was a lock for a double double. The first 3 games, he only has 1. Hopefully this will phase out and he can get 70 or however many he had last season.
He had 68 last season, but this season he has someone else who knows how to rebound. So that might interfere with his double doubles. http://www.nba.com/games/20031101/TORMIN/recap.html
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting twolvefan11:</div><div class="quote_post">He had 68 last season, but this season he has someone else who knows how to rebound. The raptors shot a terrible percentage, meaning there had to be rebounds to grab... after a 20 rebound game, Kevin grabs less than 10... Like I said I look to see this smooth over.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting purehoops:</div><div class="quote_post">I dont understand what is with Garnett. </div>There are three things with Garnett: Sprewell, Olowakandi, and Cassell. It's going to be harder to put up double doubles every night now with the new supporting cast.
the turning point of the game was Spree's D on Vince ... in addition of our lack of penetration !! .. asking about KG's boards ?? ... Jerome Williams controlled the boards with 16 and 8 offensive rebounds .. and AD had 9 .. I think that explains it
Ahh yes, and I see now, Garnett has more block shots than usual... I am not to worried because Im sure he will still get around 60 double doubles like usual.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Great photo of the new cast around Kevin.</div> I like this pic.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting purehoops:</div><div class="quote_post"> Great photo of the new cast around Kevin.</div> That is a great photo. Look, Garnett is taller than Olowokandi, he's like 7'1, not 6'11.
Actually it said somewhere that Garnett is 7'1, he just doesn't want to be classified as that for some reason. Olowokandi is only 7'0.
I know KG and Duncan are about the same size, but I think Kandiman may be taller than KG. It is kinda like when you are skinnier, you might appear taller, since you are "ganglier." Kandiman is bulky, so he may seem "stockier." Ya know?
