I do have to say i wish he would blow up every once in a while. Get T'd up and thrown out just to make a point. If nothing more than to get noticed on ESPN or something. The nice guy role gets old sometimes.

And they were looking for the team to continue to progress with the addition of Nurkic. Which it indeed has.

Hypothetically, if they blazers play say San Antonio and lose in the playoffs and they fired Stotts as many in here think they should, I would say roughly 90% of the NBA community - teams, fans, media, would think the team has lost their damn mind.

Dude....you are not up to speed on our new G league star Wade Baldwin IV......! I'd have thought you'd have been thrilled to see him own the rotation spot! As a guy in his senior years.....waiting another year is what I have....I want to win sooner...not later....Mo and Ed get back and we'll be a balanced roster again

    You don't say it constantly.
Only when the team goes through a struggle.
I shouldn't have to repeat myself over and over again.
You wonder why people dismiss you....

A - That "better record" you speak of is statistically insignificant.
B - Teams with continuity are suppose to capitalize on that, and conversely teams with major changes are expected to struggle at the beginning. Unfortunately, while the other teams may have struggled early...we did NOT capitalize on our continuity.

How is their record statistically insignificant?

I too was frustrated with the early season struggles. Did you predict the Blazers to finish higher than Minnesota, OKC, and Denver this year? I am still getting the hang of this site so I don't really know how to easily look up your predictions. If not it is stupid to claim that the Blazers need to make major changes to be successful when they are doing better than all those teams that did.

I'll say it whenever I want. If you don't like my timing, stick it up your butt.

As for your "dismiss" mantra which you've now said 3 times, sorry, I don't walk around wondering anything.

Some little people think we're all here to fight each other personally instead of debating issues.

Injuries can be factored in, of course, but it's not like you can go back and change what happened. Injuries are a part of the game and can alter franchises as we well know. We can play the "What If" game all day but that is all just speculation. You don't know how much better or worse the Blazers would be if other teams didn't have injuries.

    For the Blazers:
2014-15 derailed by injuries in a wide open Western Conference, leading Aldridge to leave.
2007-2010 should have been the beginnings of a dynasty but our two best players were out of the league within a few years.
Late 80's/Early 90's who knows what would've happened had Sabonis not gotten hurt.
1977-78 Walton got hurt weren't the Blazers like 50-10 or something? The injury led to Walton leaving the team and never being the same.

Yes, as a Blazer fan injuries will always play a part of our history. No, I don't feel bad for other teams that have injured players.

Minnesota is a crappy franchise. Their head coach is notorious for running his star players into the ground. Butler being hurt this year doesn't explain 14 years of not making the playoffs and only getting out of the 1st round once in their entire existence.

Denver fired a good coach coming off a Coach of the Year award in 2013 and haven't been to the playoffs since. They spent a fortune on a 32 year old.

OKC acquired Melo and Paul George. Why do they get an injury pass because a defensive specialist who is in the conversation for worst offensive wing player in the league goes down?

I think it's obvious that when a coach is evaluated, or compared to other coaches, the injuries of the season just ended should be considered. You don't.

But compared to a couple of assholes who are chasing my tail today whom I'll leave unnamed, you come off as making a rational argument. So I'll say, hey, you made a good post. There's merit to what you say.

Now that's a personal attack. Good job.

However saying you're only around when the team is struggling. Is not.
    Grow some thicker skin.
You're the one who started crying about getting dismissed. By bringing it up.
I was only trying to help you understand why.

But you reverted to personal attacks. Expected.
    Nice try kid.

Enjoy being on par with the worst poster on the forum.
aka someone else who only is around when the team is struggling.

Looks like you and I are just beginning.

If I ever leave you for a day, don't think it's over. I'll be checking what you said about me the next day.

If I ever miss one of your attacks, my unstated answer is, If you don't like my posting timing, stick it up SlyPokerDog's butt.

If you don't like in your own words, 'being dismissed'. Stick it up SlyPokerDog's butt.

You are dismissed, kid. Go home and tell your mother that you learned a new word, dismissed. Then, repetitively criticize her for the dinner schedule making her unpopular with you.

The thread title--Time for a Change--NOW I see why you thought this was the place to yak about the few days per week I get to the board. This timing stuff is starting to make sense. You have an allergy to others' timing. I see. Take a spoonful of pink Pepto-Bismol.

The difference in one or two wins comes down to chance. There is essentially no difference between teams 3-8.

I don't know if I made an actual prediction, but yes. I even said we'd be better than the Spurs, for which I got laughed at (thankfully Kawhi doesn't like playing with LA). I thought it would be a tight race between us, MIN, and OKC (thankfully for us Butler and Roberson got injured, otherwise it might not be so tight). I thought DEN was overrated as fuck (and still do).

Anyone know how many other teams in the league lost to Memphis twice, Dallas, Atlant and Brooklyn? That is 5 losses to some of the worst teams in the NBA. Seems like a high number for a team that was almost a guaranteed #3 seed just a short time ago. They still may get it but those are games you have to win and if you let one slip, okay....but 5 times that that group?

So funny to watch some posters come out of no where when Portland starts to struggle over a game/stretch of games.
Then it's even more funny when those same posters get offended when other posters mention this to them.
I'd say fairweather fans. But I don't even believe them to be fans of the team. Just trolls.
