I’m afraid that’s our fate, regardless. We have to get lucky in the draft or free agency to get significantly better. Trading CJ for a power forward feels like a lateral move to me. I just don’t see how it improves us that much.
The thing is this team has done better at the trade deadline and picking up players that need a home during summer than a few others. I wonder if Neil has the ability to look for moves with Allen gone at this point?
I would take a lateral move at this point just to be able to see something different... it’s boring as shit watching the exact same team for 3 years
They could start with shaking up the rotation, even if temporarily. Trent hasn’t even gotten a chance yet.
We need forwards - both a wing and an enforcer. I don't think its going to happen without blowing this up.
Olshey has the easiest job in the world. Draft a couple of guys once per year and hope for the best. Resign them to ludicrous contracts so you don't have to mess with getting free agents that are actually good.
They are good with making Playoffs. But what about how terrible we look in Playoffs season after season... This organisation needs GM and coach who aren't afraid of the risk and the moment. Sadly, things won't change.
The Team is worse than last year, you can see it especially on Defense, last year the Offense was Average but we were a top 8 Defense, this year the Offense is a little bit better but the Defense is awful, you can't win Games when your opponent scores Season highs each night on FG% and 3PT%. This Team is going nowhere
I said exactly what I w as noted, so you fixed it for yourself. Talk to me after another early playoff exit
BTW, did anybody notice the Packers fired McCarthy - a coach who won a super bowl. They didn't even wait for the end of the season. He was no longer getting the job done and the team was playing like crap, so they decided to move on. Teams are in the business of selling the fans hope. If things are bad today, you have to convince the fans tomorrow will be better. Packers get it. Do the Blazers?
Heres a key difference Packers franchise player was frustrated with the coach. Blazers franchise player doesnt seem to be.
Zach Lowe reported a few weeks back that Paul wanted to let Terry go this summer but Dame and Neil vouched for him to give Terry one more year.
I get being calm and even keeled, but there also needs to be a sense of urgency. You just aren't seeing that. https://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/...e_continues_to_falter.html#incart_river_index
The Blazers theme is always "one more year....." As if time without change is this magic potion that solves everything.
