See I don't disagree with some of this. But I have to stop at a point and say come on. The other side does the same thing in reverse. I've seen many statements of Trumps completely contorted to fit an authors narrative many times. We need to denounce this type of behavior whether its from republicans, democrats, independents and everyone else that is trying to steer the public away from the truth. This is the narrative Body has been trying to push. Not whether Trump is racist or not. Its the twisting of things that has got to stop and I agree with him. Body showed you an example of how your words could be twisted to make you seem like something you are not, and he got chastised by Lanny for it and got ignored by you for it. I don't understand that type of open(closed) mindedness or style of debate. That isn't a debate, that's getting offended that someone twisted your words up. Hmm.... I'm willing to bet the President gets these same frustrations when he sees this type of blatant contorting. Also, when you say you kept Trump on ignore until he became a mod... If these guys would just watch ONE of the Jimmy Dore videos I've posted. Jimmy is just a comedian who HATES Trump as much as these guys. But he has real journalists like Glenn Greenwald on his show. They expose the corporate media for what it is. Never in my adult life have I witnessed people basically say "It is ok for journalists to twist everything Trump does because he does SO much evil shit" You wanna know what Trump lies bother me? MRiver there is only one thing though. I understand your statement was during a certain phase of your life, but doesn't that often happen in the media? Old quotes pulled up years later and twisted out of context? Not just against trump but in general? It seems to be the media norm from both sides and i find it disgusting and a serious threat to our democracy founded on our constitution.

Or, you could just accept that some stories are going to have a slant one way or another, and seek out alternative views. Just like every post here isn't completely even-handed, but you still read them. It's ok to read things you disagree with. You are strong enough to figure out what you believe. You don't need the whole rest of the world to only feed you viewpoints you agree with, to only include the facts you think are relevant, to put events in a context that you are comfortable with. barfo
