Aldridge recruited himself. He mailed it in in the memphis series and stank up the court with lack luster attitude and performance, then he ran home to be closer to mommy cause he never grew up and got off the tit. I wouldnt want him back after that pussy move.
it was obvious that he would have an efficient, selfless season, in order to fit in. im not sure how much of that is pops, but i think he really needed to prove to himself that he made the right decision, and that to him likely means team success. if the spurs win a title, he is justified for leaving in his eyes i assume. nobody else really cares though. most portland fans are over it, and nobody else cared in the first place.
33 PER 68 ts% 96 DRtg You put Lillard in that system and he doesn't come close to these numbers with his putrid defense. Under Pop, LMA has turned into an efficient/elite two-way player.
Stats or no stats Lillard shits on lamarsha when it comes to loyalty, leadership, and overall ballsack size. Fuck lamarsha, lillard for president. Oh and you dont put lillard in that system, cause he doesnt run like a bitch.
Irrelevant if he can't do it in the playoffs. This is where it counts. I was on the trade LMA bandwagon as IMO the writing was on the wall for two years. Under a new system and philosophy he has taken his game to another level -- in the playoffs.
Since our next game isn't till Saturday I would assume tomorrow or Friday they will announce Olshey's win, they like to do it just before a home game for that team.
Well they haven't even announced MVP and ROY yet, which is odd to me since those two should be straight unanimous.
I don't have numbers broken down by defender, but Golden State has defended him pretty well this year. His numbers across the four games are fairly mediocre: 16 PPG on .453 FG% and 7.3 RPG. That's with two absolutely awful games in Golden State, one okay game at home and one very good game at home. They can toss multiple looks at him, defending him with a stronger big like Bogut or Ezeli, or the shorter but quicker (and defensive genius) Green. Honestly, if I were Golden State, Aldridge isn't the Spurs big who'd worry me most. Boris Diaw is, as he's the kind of match-up buster that can really change a series.
I think his greatest improvement has been defensively, which is due to being asked to do more and also a system that allows him to help, which I think he was always well-suited for. As far as offense, he seems to have accepted a system where he didn't have to do as much and also seems to have become more willing to postup (at least according to Jared Dudley). Maybe if Lillard had been older than him or the same age, he wouldn't have been so threatened by Lillard's leadership, hence it's not a problem with the older Spurs. I feel like Stotts should have demanded more from him but I'm not sure if he would have bought in.
Well they prolly want to wait till conference finals for mvp, they need him to play at home the night they honor him, and Towns isn't in the playoffs so they need to wait for a low media time to announce that one to keep the nba in the conversation for the week
What does lillard have to do with any of that? Oh, you were looking for another chance to hate on him with a hypothetical that won't happen. Got it.
