Well, if Johnny thinks it works, it probably doesn't. If you call him on it, he'll either delete, lie, insult or ignore. I despise that douche.

I think this is an example of why Cho makes an OUTSTANDING asst. GM, and not an actual GM. He certainly has the ability to judge players and analyze stats, but he can't close. You have to be a sales person as a GM, and if not you have to accept being run by and over by other GM's

Well, that's what happens when you hire a guy who's been an assistant all his career, I guess. Speaking of which, that might be why PA hired him in the first place.

By the way, I'm not sure that's even remotely possible under the CBA.

Because I had to point out that his structure doesn't work under the CBA. Lemme guess, you were at Canzano's "Draft the Stache" rally a few years ago. How long did it take for the Sharpie moustache to wash off?

Not sure how much of his skill he lost. But at one time this guy was pretty good. A lot cheaper than Wallace that's for sure.

You are aware that it takes two to trade, aren't you? Propose a deal you would have like to have seen that helps us AND makes it a no-brainer for the other team to take.

Allow me to say that signing a bought-out TJ Ford for vet minimum IS a no-brainer for us. Which is what I'm assuming Canzano heard snippets about, and since he can't understand the CBA, figured that since it was Trade Deadline Day that a trade was brewing.

Good grief, people. Just because Canzano is too ignorant to state how this would work correctly doesn't mean that there's something illegal proposed. Like Brian said, this would be a simple buyout of Ford's contract by the Pacers then Ford gets waived. When he clears waivers, the Blazers (or any other team that Ford wants to sign with) can sign him for the vet's minimum. The Blazers would have to waive a player of their own before they could sign him, unless they end up down a player as a result of the Wallace deal being finalized.

This would be a solid move by the Blazers to shore up a weak spot in the roster and it would cost them nothing. It is a side move that in no way impacts their ability to complete a trade for Wallace. In what possible way is this a bad thing?

They are going to buy him out, so Portland would simply give him a min contract. Happens a lot after a buyout.

Didn't Jarrett Jack take the starting job from Ford? Jack's better than Ford. We could have had Jack for Bayless.

We have just gone around in circles at guard.

Insurance at the very least because Nate has obviously seen enough of Patty and Armon.

At the vet's min, who cares?

Vet min on the books, but we'll probably send them ~3 mil for the buyout. Which seems like a ridiculous price. But it is PA we're talking about.

Huh? Ford and the Pacers are the ones who want the buyout the most, not us. Both have been unhappy with each other for awhile. Why are we sending money?

According to Woj, it's a pretty thin market for Ford, I don't think we'll have much competition at all...

I would be surprised if that were legal under the CBA.

Could this be a Part 1 (or Part 2) of a bigger deal? What if Dre' was headed somewhere and we weren't getting a PG in return? Scary to think about turning over the PG Keys to Patty & Armon. Maybe it's just wishful thinking.
