More than if we actually had guys on the roster who can make shots.

Two years ago, when we were completely healthy and we had Dame/Wes/Nic/LMA/Rolo, Dame averaged 17.2 FGA in the playoffs.

This year, with CJ/Harkless/Aminu/Plums he's averaging 21.8 FGA. Almost 5 FGA more.

If Neil is able to bolster our starting lineup this summer, I think you'll see Dame's numbers revert back slightly. He'll get more open looks, he'll be under less pressure to score, and his percentages should improve.

I think a happier medium could have been found considering he had the worst FG% on the team in the playoffs other than Roberts.

Sure, but let's also remember that this is Dame's first year as the go-to-guy. It's a learning process. I guess I just don't understand why some people feel the need to always find the one negative in things. The guy had an amazing 4th quarter. He had 36, 10, and 6. Why does it have to be about what he did wrong?

Do you think we lost because of Dame?

I don't think we lost because of Lillard and we wouldn't be in that position without him.

Could we have won last night with better shot selection and deferring to others that are shooting better a few more times? Perhaps.

Okay, so if you don't think we lost because of Lillard, then this thread isn't about you. I got tired of the people who were just constantly bashing on him in the game thread. Those people like to hang the loss on his shoulders and I got sick of it.

I don't think anyone is arguing that Dame is without flaws. We all see his flaws. The point I'm trying to make is that A) he played his ass off and I don't think this is the time to harp on the negative, and B) the people who seem to revel in his failings can take a long walk off a short cliff.

I don't think you revel in his failings, am I wrong?

I don't think you can find any post of mine bashing a player.

But this place gets irritating when certain posters act like white knights and get emotional towards anyone expressing anything negative.

I post negative shit all the time. Some people think I only post negative shit. So I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder.
