Re: Today's the Day! What a game!Great effort by the Bulls, and I am liking Maxiel -spelling- more and more as well. Also, WGN is a superatation like that one Turner channel used to be. You guys get to see all the 'Superstation' games, which is cool cause those are usually the best games.

But, you guys don't mind me posting about the Bulls success and the great game Ben Wallace is having in here do you? I'm from Chicago so you know I'm not a Pistons fan from way back..And yes Detroit does suck a@@!!! The United Center is packed and they are making it known.Detroit Sucks! :thumbdn1: BTW! Chicago is putting the FOPS on the Piss head Pistons...Go Bulls!!!!!</div>I'm not going to let you get away with that. I don't mind that you post in here, but your not going to dis the Pistons and make it out alive.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Offense:The Pistons offense is led by their backcourt of Chauncey Billups and Richard Hamilton, the most compatible backcourt in the league. Chauncey Billups was in the running for MVP last year, with his silky smooth shot and his wise timely decisions with the rock. Richard Hamilton is the king of the midrange shot, and his speed wears out opponets quickly. Rip can hit the three, he led the league in three point percentage last year. After their guards, they have Tayshaun Prince, the only '05-'06 starter to not make the All-Star team last year and capable point guard, Rasheed Wallace, a big fella who is capable of draining every three he shoots and can drop 20 each night if he has to, and Nazr Mohammed, Ben's replacement who will score more and is a above-average offensive rebounder. This team will rely on the three pointer, as the four returning starters can shoot lightsout, but can drive when necessary. The bench is led by Antonio McDyess, and was revamped over the offseason, with Flip Murray and Ronald Dupree joining the mix. Antonio McDyess pounds the ball inside and gets the garbage points Detroit was known for when they won the title in 2004. Flip Murray brings heaps of energy when he plays and can score in bunches, and Ronald Murray is a great role player who can drain the midrange often. Lindsey Hunter is back, and can score the three constantly, and is an awesome floor general. Dale Davis is back as the backup center, and is a solid big man who can score some garbage baskets as well. Scoring is the strong point for Carlos Delfino and Amir Johnson, on the third line. Coach Flip Saunders is offensively minded, so the Pistons are set here.Bulls Defense: Kirk Hinrich and Ben Gordon are not great defenders. Billups and Hamilton should have no problem scoring on these guards. Chris Duhon is decent, but the Pistons will shoot and shoot over the Bulls. Andres Nocioni isn't much of a defender either, but Luol Deng is a hustler, and might be able to stop Tayshaun. Tyrus Thomas and PJ Brown both can block pretty well. Ty Thomas is very athletic and can guard out of the post, but PJ is mostly a post defender. The Pistons are a shooting team. Finally, the key to the Bulls defense, Ben Wallace. He will remain a top notch defender down low, not only getting blocks and rebounds, but getting a decent amount of steals and loose balls. Still, there are too many options on the Pistons offense.Defense:The Pistons are specifically known for their defense. Chauncey Billups, Lindsey Hunter, and Tayshaun Prince are a few of the best defenders in the game. And although they lost Ben Wallace to the Bulls, they still have Nazr Mohammed, a solid replacement on the defensive side. Kobe Bryant and other league superstars say that Lindsey Hunter is the best man to man defender in the game. Flip Murray is a big improvement off the bench, and Richard Hamilton is very underrated defensively. The Pistons have a lot of big bodies on defense, which is crucial to win. Rasheed, Nazr, and McDyess are not really stellar defenders, but they use their body and are effective at stopping the other team. Rasheed, Tayshaun, and McDyess are especially good at getting blocks, which can change the momentum of the game, as Ben Wallace often did for Detroit. Jason Maxiel, who will finally be getting quality minutes, has proven in the pre-season that he is defensively solid, and a great rebounder.Bulls Offense: They are a stellar shooting team too, but the Pistons have good perimeter defenders though. Hunter, Billups, and Prince will stop Ben Gordon, Kirk Hinrich, and Andres Nocioni from firing threes. Ben Wallace has never been a liability on offense, with Detroit or Chicago. Tyrus Thomas is raw and can't be relied on yet. PJ Brown is a workhorse player, but he can be stopped by Rasheed or McDyess.Head to HeadG Matchup-Chauncey Billups & Lindsey Hunter vs. Kirk Hinrich & Chris DuhonPistons win. Billups is an MVP candidate, and Hunter, according to KB24, is the best man to man defender in the league. Hinrich is great and Duhon is one of the best second-unit point guards, but they don't beat the Pistons point guards.SG Matchup-Rip Hamilton & Flip Murray vs. Ben Gordon & Adrian GriffenPistons win. Ben Gordon is very overrated at times, and even though Adrian Griffen is a pretty good defender, the defense the Pistons two-guards bring is too dominant.SF Matchup-Tayshaun Prince & Carlos Defino vs. Luol Deng & Andres NocioniBulls win. I'll give it to them, Tayshaun is a deservant All-Star and a dominant defender, and Delfino is a pretty good all around player, but Noc averaged 20 and 10 in the playoffs, and Luol Deng is a excellent athlete.PF Matchup-Rasheed Wallace & Antonio McDyess vs. PJ Brown & Tyrus ThomasPistons win. Rasheed is a star, and McDyess is a 6th man of the year candidate. PJ Brown is still effective for his team, but Tyrus Thomas is young, and won't do anything big for Chicago this year. He'll have the same role as Gerald Green did for Boston, or Marvin Williams did for Atlanta, and they hardly played any valuable minutes.C Matchup-Nazr Mohammed & Dale Davs vs Ben Wallace & Micheal SweetneyBulls Win. Nazr Mohammed is pretty underrated, a solid contributor on both ends, but Ben's defense and rebounding makes him a top 5 center, and you cannot argue that. The Pistons are better overall, and could win a 7 game series.</div>I wrote that a while ago. Add Jason Maxiel to Detroit and Thabo Sefolosha to the Bulls. Maxiel is a maniac on the boards. He's a poor man's Ben Wallace, and has been a pleseant surprise for Detroit. We're on a slide, losing four out of five of our last games, but we should be able to snap out of it soon. I wish Flip Saunders was more like Jim Leyland. He needs to get us back on track. Just wait until Chauncey comes back. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>And yes Detroit does suck a@@!!!</div>Detroit sucks a@@. lol that's great.
Re: Today's the Day! Dude! This was sooooo yesterday but, I'll respond for the heck of it.....True the Pistons have better shooters. That's it. But, the Pistons can't hold a candle to the Bulls defense. The Bulls are avg. 100.4 ppg while their opponent are avg. 94 ppg. You know what that means? They are keeping their opponent from scoring. Ummm Hello? Have you been watching this year. The Bulls play the best defense in the east. Scot Skiles style. And if the Bulls had a go to guy, they would be unstoppable. They are missing an offensive assasin. Someone who is night after night Clutch! However, Ben Gordon, Luol Deng, Andres and Capt. Kirk have all been producing in double digits. Ben has stepped up things to a whole other level by actually proving he could become that go to guy. Any ways the Piston are not even still in first place. You can thank the Superstars in Cleveland and the loss to the Bulls last night for that. So here is my request for you, stop thinking they are so great. Pistons are so played out.... J/K You are supposed to support your fave team. You would not be a fan if you didn't. I happen to hate the Pistons and think they suck! They are a bunch of actors who should be in Hollywood auditioning for parts in a B-rated movie. But that's just my opinion. Nice talking to you though :winkglasses:

I know it's not by much, but before bashing our team, at least get your facts straight. And if the Pistons had 0 losses we'd be undefeated. When Chauncey comes back, we'll be back up there. And although we're not in first, we're still ahead of your Bulls. Umm, good one?

In a 7 game series, with Billups healthy, I have no doubt in my mind we would win.You can't be a smart fan and think that the Pistons suck. Suck goes towards Atlanta, Charlotte, Portland, Memphis, the Atlantic division, and your taste in teams.

Even when the Bulls were a dynasty team (six championships) the sold out crowd in Detroit would Boo the Bulls and the Bad Boy Pistons, sore losers that they are would not shake the Bulls hands. I was so glad we got Big Ben. But, this discussion aint even fun no more. So I bid this thread a farewell and good luck to you losers!!!!Go Bulls!!!
