do you really think 11/8/3 is 41 minutes is the same as 11/8/3 in 24 minutes?

Who was he defending? Wasn't that Batum's best game as a pro? Or are you talking about holding LMA to 19/10? Or letting Travis get 10 rebounds?

    and the answers are: 11, 8, 3, 1

    ...I win!

...Yi Sucks! (OK that's a slight exaggeration, but he is nowhere near "great")

that isn't an exaggeration at all when you take into account his entire nba career. he hasn't sucked the past 5(i think games), but he did suck for the past two years.

    What don't you understand?

I was saying that Nic shut down Yi, meaning Yi struggled to score (his life was made a living hell offensively), but Yi still found ways to do other things.

Perhaps you were dropped on your head?

9 ppg & 5 rpg in 24 mpg "sucks"? It's not All Star level but it hardly sucks.

Actually, when you're a 7' tall top six pick who shoots 40% from the field and has a PER of 11, it does suck - HARD.

And that's exactly what Yi was for the first two years of his career - a soft, poor defending, weak rebounding 7-footer with a 40% FG%.

You said he played defense. His primary assignment that night was Nic who dropped 7/8 on him for 20 points. Are you getting it yet?

Oh lord. You need to learn the game. Nic guarded Yi, yes, but Yi guarded LMA on the other end. LMA shot 4 of 12 from the field. Also, Yi had 2 steals and 1 block.

By the way, Nic also played some of his minutes guarding Vince Carter.

BS. Lopez was the primary cover on LMA (look at the distribution of fouls on the Nets and how many foul shots LMA took).

Exactly. When LMA was going to the line, Lopez was fouling him, but when LMA was shooting his 4 of 12 from the field, that's when Yi was all over him.

when you are shooting 40% and not playing good defense, yes, it sucks.
