Who will be better? You think Jim Levitt is leaving South Florida to come to Clemson? You think Greg Shiano will leave Rutgers? No one is leaving the major conferences to come to Clemson....they might have had a shot at Saban before he committed to Bama and they could have gotten Spurrier before he went to SC but he was somewhat tainted goods at the time....the truth is, they had Rich Rodriguez and let him go to West Virginia....Its easy to boo and hiss at your coach because you think he stinks, but who do you want in his place? Do you have a coach in mind they could actually get?

    That is the truth.

Game day at Clemson is one hell of an event.

If you can't get pumped up on a Saturday there, you have to be dead.

I love my Death Valley experiences....the whole upstate turns orange on saturday morning....but the truth is, gameday is one hell of an event at 70 other schools too....its no longer a drawing point, you can get it almost anywhere

All I know is Schaino is definetly not leaving Rutgers, because pictures of his new house just yards away from Rutgers Stadium surfaced on the internet.

But if Clemson can get a coach like Greg Schiano, he would instantly be an upgrade over the prick they have there.

Hey if Lloyd Carr gets fired maybe he could take Tommy's job!

I don't understand why you don't think Clemson could hire a good coach. Didn't Michigan State just land Mark Dantonio? Coaches do leave small schools for the oppurtunity to advance, believe it or not..

whos the guy? they could hire from a small school, those guys will leave to come to Clemson....they cant hire from a school from the BCS confrences....those guys would view it as a lateral move....the point is, whos the guy? if you give me who you think they should go get, I will do the research and give an opinion on whether I think they could get him and if hes worth it

Two of my favorites right now are Delaware coach K.C. Keeler and Navy coach Paul Johnson.

    They are both brilliant.

There's another 100 or so coaches I would rather have then Tommy Bowden, though.

Paul Johnson is a potential candidate....he was dominant at Ga Southern, winning 2 National Titles and hes taken Navy to 4 straight bowls after taking over a down program....hes got degrees from Western Carolina and App State so he has ties to the region as well....I dont know how excited the state of South Carolina would be about bringing in Johnson though, as hes hardly a big name....

And you've hit on the problem.

Paul Johnson is a brilliant coach, and Tommy Bowden is named Bowden.

Nice....its in Clemson, South Carolina....Clemson is about 55 miles down I-85 from Greenville SC(or 20 minutes if you are driving with the flow of traffic on I-85)....its between Greenville and Atlanta, but closer to Greenville....
