Kind of a letdown for me, even before it gets started. The third preseason game is supposed to be the best, but we are stuck playing the 49'ers. Is that really a test for a first team offense/defense? The only real test will be whether or not our patched up secondary can hold up against them.
I'd say it could be a test for you offense seeing as the 49ers D hasn't been all that bad over the last few years and if Julian Peterson is playing they aren't terrible...but other than your run defense nothing else should get tested.
I think the offense faired pretty well. TOTAL NET YARDS 543 Total offensive plays 78 Average gain per play 7.0
They looked ok, except when they got in the Red Zone. Also, that's a lot of yards for only 21 points. They stalled a lot at the end of drives.
