<div class="quote_poster">Quoting allnet:</div><div class="quote_post">You may think Malone whines....but fact is..he is one of the best power forwards of all-time...Put up consistant numbers all his career....his 18 years in Utah he was Mr consistant....As far as him whining? well I don't re-call him ever being like that...he has always seemed like a player who just played the game and not caused trouble EVER...A great person to have in the locker room...</div> He has always seems like he complains a lot. But what do I know? My bad...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting azr&b:</div><div class="quote_post">1. Michael Jordon 2. David Robinson 3. Clyde Drexler 4. Charles Barkley 5. Larry Bird 6. Patrick Ewing 7. Gary Payton 8. Scotty Pippen 9. Sean Eliott 10. John Stockton It was hard for me to put Stockton. I wasn't a real big fan, but I do have to agree that he was a outstanding point guard.</div> Where is SHAQ, Hakeem and Malone. All three of them have had much better careers then the likes of Patyon, Ewing, and Sean Elliot. Hakeem is arguably one of the best all around centers to ever play the game. Shaq is as dominant as anyone and Malone has had one of the best NBA careers out of anyone. Its insane how you have left these three future hall of famers off the list. Larry Bird was drafted before 1983 anyways.
This isn't about being a fan, its about naming the best players in the last ten years, it doesn't make sense to me that people wouldn't include great players such as Malone and Hakeem and Shaq. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they aren't great. Here are the career stats of those three above (Malone, Hakeem, and Shaq). Karl Malone-18 seasons: 1,434 games 25.4ppg 10.2rpg 3.5 apg and 51% shooting over 18 seasons. Hakeem Olajuwon-18 seasons: 1,238 games 21.8ppg 11.1rpg 2.5apg and 51% shooting along with 2 rings in 18 seasons. Shaquille O'neal-11 seasons and counting... 742 games 27.6ppg 12.1rpg 2.8apg and nearly 58% shooting, along with 3 rings. By looking at those stats, now would you include them (azr&b)?
My list (top 12) 1.MJ 2.Shaq 3.Malone 4.Barkely 5.Hakeem 6.Stockton 7.Ewing 8.Payton 9.Robinson 10.Clyde Drexler 11.Kobe Bryant 12.Mitch Richmond 13.Timothy Duncan

And what are the chances that he will get equal/any playing time against Shaq? The same can be said for Hakeem. A lot of the older guys are retiring to make room for the "newness". Shaq with any luck, has a few more years left in him. And for the record, I never said that they weren't great players. I was just giving my opinion. Is that wrong?
1. MJ 2. Shaq 3. The Dream 4. Malone 5. Stockton 6. Robinson 7. Barkley 8. Pippen 9. Ewing 10. Drexler I think Stockton is the most underrated player on most people's lists. Even though he didn't win any rings, he is the ALL-TIME assists and steals leader. He deserves to be at least a top-6 guy on the list. Although he did not score as many points as the others on the list by far, his other achievements cast the other players' achievements in a dark shadow. Do you know how hard it is to be the all-time statistical leader in any one category, let alone two?
Too many great players to choose from, but I love lists like these so I can't resist. Here goes: 1. Michael Jordan 2. Shaquille O'neal 3. Hakeem Olajuwon 4. Karl Malone 5. Charles Barkely 6. Tim Duncan 7. John Stockton 8. Kobe Bryant 9. Kevin Garnett 10. Clyde Drexler There might be some "old school" players I'm forgetting that deserve mention. But this list looks good to me.
