I was at this game. It is another memory I will always have. I remember generally where I was sitting. The crowd was amazingly loud following that shot. I guess if we are going to include bad, what about this game -- http://articles.philly.com/1998-02-28/sports/25754666_1_warriors-nba-history-minneapolis-lakers
This part made me laugh from the article: KINGS: COACH FINED The NBA fined Sacramento Kings coach Eddie Jordan $5,000 for screaming at the officials following his team's loss to the New Jersey Nets on Thursday night. Now, that's just a look from the refs when Draymond does it.
Well, I didn't want the focus to be on how wrong you were adding that to the list, so I was trying to be subtle, lol...
Jesus. Maybe it's because of what happened with that pick, but I can't imagine ever being that excited about getting the #1 pick.
I can, it was a pretty big deal at the time, particularly with Roy already solidifying himself as a perennial all-star.
I guess I'm not as emotional about things like that. I was definitely excited when it happened, but I wasn't jumping up and down cheering for every pick that wasn't us. FWIW, I also very rarely cheer or get audibly excited (at home) during games.
Same. My wife and my buddy were watching the Lotto live with me ... We nearly jumped through the roof after we won that pick. Winning that lottery in 2007 would be on par with winning it in 1992, 1997, and 2003. Oden and Durant were both considered once-in-a-generation players and were adding one of those players to a core featuring Roy and Aldridge? Man, I'm not going to lie, I was already thinking of how many titles we were going to win.
Remember, each time a pick wasn't us meant we were getting a better pick. It was one heck of a fun build...
I'm the fat guy wearing my Kool-Aid Club ID, shown right after the Golub/Schonley embrace, and right before HCP mouths "Wow!"
Wow, Just watching the passing and opening play from Boston shows how much the game has changed. Crazy. Did they even dribble at all other than to get across half court? I'M with Stren. Wife is out of town this weekend. i might watch this twice if its good.
Andre miller dropping 52 vs the mavs. probably one of the least likely 50pt games ever. another one would have to have been the draft trades in 2006, tyrus thomas for aldridge - foye 4 roy.
