    Man there's a whole lot of East coast love on here.

    Pac is the goat. Cole is my favorite out right now. Kevin Gates has serious bars when he's not locked up. And you need to fuck with Mic Capes out of the St. John's neighborhood if you don't already.

    One of my favorite under-rated mc's.
    Tame One



    His solo stuff is great, but he really shines in his collabs with The Weathermen and Leak Bros.

    Here are a couple Leak Bros tracks. Cage had an obligation to record one more album for his label so he teamed up with Tame One for an album all about smoking PCP (just to piss them off a bit). It got production from El-P and RJD2.

    This first one gets hilarious when Tame starts riffing on Biggie's classic, "Hypnotize". Cracks me up every time.




    Now this track is Amazeballs! I could listen to it 10 times in a row. Gimmiesumdeath.

    I'll be honest, this is the first time I've listened to him. I've heard his name for a little while, but never got around to listening to him. I tried to like Amine but never got past "he's alright". Of the local rappers on my radar (admittedly not many), Last Artful Dodgr is my favorite...I don't own any of her music, but I should because I like it every time I hear her. She reminds me a bit of Missy Elliot.

    Was just watching the video for DNA, and the first half where Don Cheadle is lip syncing reminded me of the DJ Shadow/RTJ video for Nobody Speak. I love the acting in this video, and seeing two old white dudes lip synching Mike and El's verses is pretty funny.

    If we can have a top rap thread then why can't we have a top Rock/heavy metal band thread? Why does it have to be about rap all the time? Not that there's anything wrong about rap. Just asking?
