Ford ate up Telfair like he was a 7th grade girl, yes, but Rondo harassed the hell out of him on both ends. Rondo scored a lot of his points on Calderon you say... give me a break. It's really not even the scoring that I'm happy with, it's the excellent defense Rondo played on Ford, and kind of shut him down. Like it or not, Ford was very frustrated because of Rondo, and Rondo scored on him as well as disrupted the hell out of him defensively. "Nobody... NOBODY can guard T.J. Ford." --- Say that again, CB4.
I guess you are right. You should be proud of how they fought throughout the game. I didn't watch the 2nd half. I saw it today on "Raptors Game in an Hour", so I don't really have a fair assment of Rondo's defense on Ford. All I know is that TJ scored the ball very well when he was on in the 1st half. You have to admit, his step back jumper, and overall midrange has improved a ton. If he can get some long range accuracy, he will be one of the top PG's in the League when he hits his prime in my opinion atleast...

Ford started off hot with that 15-17 foot jumper and he blew by the defense a couple times. But the second half, I suggest you watch it. Rondo really did play excellent defense on Ford, and Rondo got to the basket and hit some jumpers behind screens with Ford guarding him. Ford is the better player, but Rondo really harassed the hell out of him. Even after the game, Ford didn't know what to say when Greg Dickerson (Celtics sideline reporter) asked him about Rondo. Ford said something like "He's pretty good... um.... but this isn't about Boston." Then Donny Marshall, who does the Celtics pre-game, halftime, and post-game shows, said "He didn't want to talk about Rondo because he kicked his butt out there!" And he was right.
yeah TJ is a great explosive player....but Rondo shut him down...and I think anybody who watched the whole game knows thatI remember when Rondo got an and one he was talkin to Sam Mitchell and like stomped his foot lol
Im a BIG Raptors fan but I gotta go with the Celtics fan on this one Rondo played amazing against Ford on D and O so props to him, but not to take anything away from Ford he was on fire in the first quarter and I think he kindof got frustrated with Rondo and it distracted him from his regular game.
