I can Agree to an extent but show me this large group that feels the word pussy is a segragational insult? It is not a racial slang, it has never been tied to any specific sect or organized group that I am aware of. Where does it stop? Are we to pare down the dictionary to only a few acceptable words by all? You Me Love Merry Happy Why don’t we just have a societal ban on all degrading, insulting, profanity and all words in general that anyone has an issue with? I’m sorry, but there are lines that when get moved too far, become obsurd. history has shown that in things like this, it has a mob mentality that is often irrational. I would love to hear the thoughts on it from anyone who finds the word as particularly offending.

@Orion Bailey Sad Fact. My 20 year old works at a summer camp where a student got called out and was made to apologize for using the term "Lame." How lame is that? OTOH, one of my hobbies is to section hike the Pacific Crest Trail. On the trail, language, nudity, and even how you smell is of little consequence. As long as you're not an asshole, pretty much anything goes. I am definitely more comfortable on the trail than in a summer camp
It's a little sexist if you try to use it in the context of it being a woman's Pussy. Hell, the word bitch is sexist too. It just really depends on how sensitive you are to the word I guess. I've been trying to say the word bitch a lot less than I used to even though it seems like that's the only word I can use to describe TT.
To play devils advocate: Just like it's freedom of speech to use whatever word you want, it's also freedom of speech to tell others what you think about those words. There's no censorship or "paring down the dictionary". There are just humans discussing the meaning of those words. It's actually educational.

On the other side of the spectrum: when I was in graduate school I was forced to tutor kids and before I could tutor kids I was forced to read a book about tutoring etiquette. In the book, they listed a number of terms not to use, one of which was "gyp," as in to cheat or rip off, because it was derived from, and therefore offensive to, gypsies. That had never occurred to me. So the next day I'm sharing this news with a coworker--having interrupted a conversation to do so--and she is like, "Huh. Interesting," then turns back to her previous conversations and says: "Anyway, so the guy totally tried to Jew me down." True story. And I don't think we'll use the TPE.
