...of course there has to be a trade coming soon!!! I am still waiting for a rebounding monster PF off the bench and a GOOD PG.
I think a lot of people aren't giving Pendergraph the benefit of the doubt. I think he is a solid rebounder off the bench. We have a good PG, but our SG doesn't like playing with him.
We have no good threads because of that no-good, Allen. If Pritchard were still around we'd be hopping with threads and trades up the gazoo.
So he won a Finals MVP. Big deal. He was playing against a Cleveland team with absolutely no decent point guard. Parker has no reliable outside shot. He also doesn't get enough assists for my taste.
So two-time Finals MVP is overrated and doesn't get enough assists. Miller sucks. Who is your ideal point guard? Because for someone who says PG isn't a very important position in the NBA, you sure do seem to have high standards for what makes one good.
Who is the two-time Finals MVP? It ain't Parker. He won it once. My ideal point guard is Deron Williams. Good size. Good shooter. High number of assists. Solid defensively.
My bad. I meant to put to two-time champ and Finals MVP. I'm still curious why you have such high standards for an "overrated" position though. It would seem that if it were as overrated as you say it is, virtually any schlub should make you happy.
Perhaps, an overrated position in the triangle offense whereby PG's such as Fisher and B.J. Armstrong can do just fine.
Trade speculation threads are always entertaining, but deliberately misleading threads are the worst. It's not cute or clever, it's just obnoxious, to be honest. What's wrong with just making the title clear and informative? But when you present it as a truth, or that you know something, or that it's actual "In the Know" knowledge and then throw a "just joking" (or similar) it's a waste of everyone's time.
Now that the Russell Award debate is over, the thread could morph in an argument over whether there should be playoffs.
