I don’t follow rumors on twitter…never click on the trade rumors threads on here. So did something come out today to make you guys feel like something is really in the works?
SideNote: I’m out here at PDX right now and saw Ben Simmons get off a plane. So do with that what you will…..
Remember that guy losing his mind because i posted a blurry pic from the airport….I think he said I was “purposely trying to deceive the forum!” Love this place….
I think Hart will probably be traded and maybe one the end bench might go had filler or a 2nd round pick. I don't see Nurk going right now due know nobody going give a really good center back right now. Maybe this off season where it might happened.
The thing is that for what we need Mo Bamba might be a really good center. Orlando reportedly is very interested in moving him. Obviously they wouldn't want Nurk but people like him and others that @RR7 pointed out in the Trade Idea thread, make it so we could move Nurk to a team that has high value on him, if any team does right now. For me, we are two games under .500. So we're nowhere close to where we need to be. Dame and Ant look as bad together as Dame and CJ did, Nurk looks like he is a really bad fit for Chauncey's system and we have no size on the bench whatsoever. So again for me it's not time to make a few minor adjustments, it's time to make some big moves. People keep talking about the fact that we're hard capped like that means our options are limited... all that means is that we have to match salaries a little closer. I don't even think the hard cap matters because I don't think this organization is willing to go into the luxury tax this season. So Joe just has to find big moves that he can match salaries on or send out more than we're taking back... yeah that is one more obstacle but it's not insurmountable or an excuse for not making changes if Joe sees this roster as being as dysfunctional as I do.
This place is worse than twitter. At least some on Twitter actually know things. This place is full of people like me! I absolutely do not know what is going to happen.
If there was reason to think there will be better moves that can be made this off-season, would you still prefer a move be made in the next month to improve this season?
What reason does anyone have to think that a long game will play out the way they predict? We better be making the best moves we can to improve the team when they present themselves. I mean obviously if the move doesn't make the team better then you can wait and see if you can find one that does but if a move makes the team better and we are getting equal or better pieces than we're giving, then that move needs to be made. You can't expect the better thing to come along, you could wait your whole life with that type of thinking.
It depends on how much. If it improves us just enough to make the Play In our enough to one again get filled in the 1st round of the Playoffs, than, No.
I certainly don't know that it will, I'm just throwing out a hypothetical to see how badly people want to win this season and if they would be willing to take a lesser deal to do so. For example, we didn't use the CJ TPE last February, we waited until June to use it for Grant.
I hope Nurkic and Hart are traded, ASAP — Mobility and too few minutes with Nurkic and Hart’s player option. Simons has game he’s still working through but he looks flat out good when on … which equals good trade value. I think I’ve seen enough of him with Dame to want him traded for a forward or in a mega-deal. Dame and Shaedon as the back court is not yet — but next year to go with Grant? GET: quality forward, mobile center, and a solid, back-up PG (Pritchard), to go with GP2, Eubanks, Walker … and some actual, microwave bench scoring would be nice. Asking for a lot, I know.
