Last I'd heard they did not get a pitcher and were working on Schoop (SP) from Baltimore. Always liked Counsel as a player he's turned out to be a good manger.
Austin for Lynn might be a good move since the Yanks were/are top heavy in some areas. But Imo Lynn's unlikely the answer, probably another Garcia. Trashmans grasping & still lacks a SP, who can come in- Slam doors, win games and provide leadership; while instantly boosting the SP staff. Looks more like he thinks Bullpens are supposed to carry the game. .Torre created the 6 Inning SP game. Trashman a 4 or 5 IP SP game ????

I know the trade deadlines over to the OP... thought this bit was interesting, and I knew little to nothing about Garcia.... Next year should see several of t/Yanx pitching prospects in ST. Could Garcia be the next Pedro Martinez.
