I have to say this is one of the most active trade deadlines I have seen in a long, long time.

Over on hoopshype they are reporting that Memphis was not only trying to deal Conley, but OJ Mayo. Holy shit I had no idea that dude was on the market.

They offered Mayo to Golden State for Ellis.

It was rejected by the Warriors.

    Really?

OJ Mayo may not be the best player in the world but Ellis may be the most over rated. Considering the salary difference GS would have had to have been getting more back then just Mayo.

Mayo and Curry in the backcourt would be way, way better then what GS is fielding now.

I feel bad for Golden State fans.

Wow that is crazy. A Mayo/Curry back court would be pretty damn good after year of play together. It is a much better fit than Monta, but I do not know if they are equivelent in player value, which might have held GS back.

Plus, they would be able to make Curry and Mayo food jokes all the time. That in itself, is priceless. :devilwink:

Read their forum over at WarriorsWorld. Makes Mixum sound like Pollyanna.

I have respect for Warriors fans. No matter how bad their teams get, they still go to games. At least more than other franchises do. If I was a Warriors fan, I am sure I would be lamenting as to what has happened to the team since Don Nelson came back. Holy shit that guy has fucked up that franchise something seroius.

Curry-Mayo-Morrow could have possibly been the most deadly outside shooting 1-2-3 combo in the league.

And Mayo has been known to actually play some defense. But that is bad ju ju to play defense in golden state.

Wow, that looks really nice. Just switch the NY and Boston trade (flip it) around and that is one of the better posts i've seen here in a while.

    Excellent job, man. Repped.
