Canes adding Kuznetsov for a 2025 3rd round pick. They keep adding. Vatrano, Buch, Eberle, other Drury needs to add more, otherwise he never should have traded for Wennberg, and he should sell today. Trading picks for Wennberg and then playing it middle of the road makes absolutely no sense to me.

Totally agree, but the key to all of this is the "new toy". Trading away any picks, even as minor or low value as a 4th round pick, is pointless if we don't improve more. Otherwise, it was a waste of assets, even if they are lower value assets.

I think the holdup with Vatrano is, the 1st gets you the rest of this year, but what else without giving up Perreault/BO or KK gets you that 2nd year of him. Jones or Robertson isn't enough, and we don't have anymore 2nds. That said, Anaheim is going nowhere in the next few years so they may as well take the 1st and whatever now.
