This board cracks me up. When we have a player like Nash, Girardi, Staal or Kreider having a down year, they suck and nobody wants them. When a guy making 8.5 fucking million in E. Staal has 31 points and has shown a steep decline now for 2 years in a row is on the block, he'll flourish here. Please. If he was on the Rangers doing this, everybody here other than me and a couple of others would be saying he f'n sucks, nobody would every take him.

dump, struds is right. That's the deal. Saarela gone. This Organization is as thin on young talent as is and they still keep giving away whatever is left.

You guys are flipping crazy if you think that is a bad deal for us...my lord.

NO 1st rounder. NO top prospect. Didn't even give a roster player.

Why the F would ANYONE complain about in a deal like this. Awesome deal. And I think we'll make a big effort to resign Staal this summer also.

they can get a few picks back, especially if Yanlde doesnt resign. They can trade his rights and i think they can do it to Staal too

i honestly thought Saarela would be on the Rangers. I could hear Rosen saying "Saarelaaaa" but i could also see him on the Canes... He was a 3rd rounder, young but having a good season on a team being carried by two 20 year olds and a 18 year old (him)

    chuck,
Saarela IS a top prospect. On top of that they are giving up even more picks. It's pretty much the same as Yandle's deal. They better fucking win the cup.

You are nuts Step. Not going to debate with you. All you do is whine and complain. So you keep doing what you do. The few of us that are objective will root like heck for this team and hope for the best.

We are now upset over dealing a couple of later 2nd's and a decent but no way top prospect for Staal. Crazy stuff.

I'm with Chuck on this one... The picks can be recouped especially if Yandle and Staal do not resign. They could trade their rights to interested teams for a 3-4th round pick. If the Leafs are keen on giving him huge money their 3rd round pick will be a few picks away from the Rangers second

Saarela... only 18 and is one of the leading point getters on his team but hes 3 - 5 years away from doing anything for this team

You people have fallen in love with old, overpaid rejects again. You never learn. You starting to be just as dumb as Sather was when he first got here and thought he could win a title.

Team has no choice dump not with Hank pushing 35. You have to try and win a cup.

They gave up less then Chicago gave up for Ladd IMO. Staal has more upside too

With Hank turning 34 next week AND deciding to keep Yandle and let him walk for nothing this summer, this is a move that had to be made. That simple really.

This trade is an awesome trade. Staal only wanted to come here, and it showed. No 1st rounder and none of our top top prospects.
