yeah I know a lot of people despise Marang in here but that’s basically what he said in the radio today. All offers at the trade deadline were for picks in this years draft which is what they don’t want. If that’s what they end up with then no harm that they waited in hopes to get a future first

Not a fan of him. I listen for about 15 minutes on my drive home from work like 2 days a week maybe. Today, he was just shouting over Dusty and the other guy during the segment about needing to find a star, and it was annoying as hell, and terrible radio.

I totally get why he’s polarizing but hey…. I’m pretty polarizing too lol

I tend to agree with his opinions though.

I get the general concept of what he was going for. Need that star to win a title. I think Dusty's point was more from a casual fan perspective, hey, show me SOMETHING in a year please. And Danny doubled down with, even if it takes 13 years.

I actually agree with a lot of his opinions, but it's annoying how he yells over other people, disregards their ideas, or diminishes their points.

His delivery can be hard to listen to at times. But overall I tend to agree with him.

Isn’t he old and he’s not in the same age bracket as the rest of the core group.

I don't have a trade idea just a wish. I wish we could turn Ant, Jerami, Malcolm, Tisse and Rob into the first pick in this draft and hopefully a future first or two.

With the first pick I'd want Alex Sarr and with the seventh pick I'd want Cody Williams.

I don't hate him, either. He's one of those Intense, know-it-all personality types, but I tend to agree with him more than I disagree. He's passionate about his job and isn't boring (imo). He rubs a lot of people the wrong way with how he responds to criticism or even differing opinions, which I don't care for but it doesn't stop me from listening to him.

Sounds like Cowherd and Rome. Not my cup of tea.

What about Ant and Grant to the Lakers?

    upload_2024-5-15_10-19-20.png

    Lakers end up with a better rotation to contend next year;

    Davis - Reath
    Lebron - Woods
    Grant
    Reaves - Bronny?
    Simons

Not certain exactly what picks we want - I believe Lakers have traded away their 2025 and 2027 picks.... so we could get 2029 and 2031 picks from them, or maybe it would be better to just have one pick but multiple swaps from them as we already have 3 unprotected picks in 2029. Something such as get their 2030 pick and swaps in all of 2028, 2029, 2031.

Then maybe Brogdon to Chicago for a pick and our pick back but we save some salary.

We eat Balls contract and give Chicago a starting PG and Thybulle, they give us tax room, our pick back, and a 2027 swap.

Rome and Cowherd deliberately try to rile up their listeners. I don’t think Marang is doing that. He’s just passionate about sports and very opinionated.

Different idea, what about Simons to the Magic? I don't think any of Wagner/WCJ/etc make sense as Orlando wants role players to win now and the Blazers are years away from needing that. So eat whatever salary Orlando doesn't want, but get picks from them very far out so hopefully young Orlando has declined by then.

So Blazers cut salary for luxury tax, get a 2030 unprotected pick and a 2029 swap (Orlando gets the worst of PDX/ORL/BOS/MIL).

Might actually be able to flip Isaac on an expiring for something as well. Then still deal Brogdon/Grant for picks.

In July Milwaukee can trade away their 2031 pick unprotected - how about we get that from them as well? Dame can be reunited with his superfriend.
