Shit I meant to include Bolden as well, but now that you mention it, I might take #26 instead. The more picks for Olshey the better.

I was super high on Bolden at the draft and I would've rather taken him than Swanigan.

Maybe this could work? Use the TPE however is most effictive.
    MIL Gets: Aminu, 26th
    PHI Gets: Future POR/MIL 2nds
POR Gets: 17th, Bayless, Holmes, Dellavedova, Bolden, any other salary PHI wants to dump

    Or some variation of?

I'd rather play Baldwin than Bayless.

Oh, I actually meant to put that assuming Baldwin develops. I should've said Bayless would simply take Napier's spot on the roster not necessarily his minutes.

    My only problems with this:

    1) If Bolden doesn't come over this year we are thin at PF.

    2) I don't think Philly would need any compensation at all for that, certainly not picks. We could just give them the rights to that guy we got in the trade with Chicago last year, ha ha.

    3) There aren't a of guys I really like that would be on the board at 17 that wouldn't still be there at 24 most likely either (unless Hutch rises) so that is a lot of salary to take on for the 17th pick and we lost Aminu.

    1.) How? Holmes replaces Aminu.

    2.) That's fine.

3.) The thought would be to try to move up for Mikal Bridges.

    1) Holmes is a center. He can't really play PF.

    3) I don't think 17 and 24 is enough to move up to 9 or so to get him.

It sounds like from everything I'm reading both on national sites and 76ers forums that they would be willing to dump a bunch of stuff if it meant clearing up more cap space. It seems like the #10 pick might actually be in play. Bayless, Holmes, TLC, and #10 instantly clears about $15 million in cap space for them this summer. If we threw in a lottery protected 1st in 2019 maybe they would throw in Bolden too and be more apt to include #10.

    1) But Davis can, and Holmes can space the floor enough to make that pairing work.

    3) Not by itself, no. But Turner, Swanigan, 17, 24, and a 2019 POR 1st for Lee, Thomas, and 9 has some potential.

I think Bridges could fall to 10 though.

Theres many teams with space that would be willing to do that, but most of them are lotto teams that wouldnt include a pick next year.

I'd do that in a heartbeat. I would even give them a lottery protected right to swap 1sts in 2020.

I would applaud Olshey for making that move. I'm not optimistic though.

I would jizz my pants if we traded a lottery protected 2019 1st and got back Bayless, Holmes, TLC, rights to Bolden, and #10. We'd be so set giving up just a non-lottery pick for Bridges, could still get Hutchinson too at 24, have the potential of Bolden stretching the floor, and have some cheap roster filler in Holmes and TLC who still have some upside. All without having to give up Dame, CJ, Harkless, Aminu, Collins, or Nurk. We would have a lot of ammo for future trades too.

    1) I hate the thought of Davis playing PF at all. Holmes thinks he can space the floor but he shot 12.9% on 3's this year on 0.6 attempts per game.

    3) I don't see either team doing that. Turner is not likely to help us move up not matter how many picks are included.

But Holmes shot 35% last year and is effective from mid-range as well. I think Davis is just as effective at PF.

Turner and Swanigan for Lee and Thomas is an even swap IMO. They dont add salary at all, and none of those players except for Swanigan will be on the team a couple years from now. Porzingas will be out for at least half the season so a PF to develop is of value to them.

So 17, 24, and a 2019 1st for 9? I could see it. Khyri Thomas at 17 would be a great pick for them. Hutchison at 24 would be as well.

Would you give up the right to swap 1sts in 2020 along with that?

A Philly fan said he would do this trade without hesitation:

Philly gets a top-55 protected future 2nd rounder

Portland gets Bayless, TLC, Holmes, rights to Lessort, rights to Pasecniks, #26, #38, and #56

I could probably be talked into that but I countered by asking him what adding Bolden into the equation would take away. I'll let you guys know what he says.

Another guy says we could have any combo of 26, 38, 39, TLC, Holmes, or Justin Anderson with Bayless. I'm not sure if he just forgot to include the international guys or if he wouldn't include them in this trade. I'll ask him too.

So the above trade the guy said that including Bolden wouldn't be a deal breaker and that the cap space is worth giving that up. Holy crap, I'd do that, would you guys?

    Dame/Baldwin/Bayless
    CJ/TLC
    Harkless/Turner/Layman
    Aminu/Collins/Swanigan
    Nurkic/Holmes/Leonard/PapaG
Plus picks 24, 26, 38, and 56 and the rights to Bolden, Lessort, and Pasecniks.

We'd have to probably let Davis, Napier, and Connaughton walk and most likely decline the options on PapaG and Layman to make room for rookies. I'm assuming we'd try to package picks to move up. This would of course give us a ton of trade assets too.
