I would like the Hayward deal better if they threw in the 14th pick instead. A little insurance for if he gets hurt again or opts to leave after 1 season.

Zach Lowe evidently (I’ll check the podcast out myself later) is saying Olshey is focusing on “win now” trades. But it’s Lowe so of course he had to throw his stupid two cents in and suggested trading Collins, a first, Ariza, and Hood for Hayward. Lol what a goober.

ok I listened to it, he never actually said Olshey is focusing on win now trades, he just suggested that’s what Portland should be doing. Marks also mentioned how his trade proposal for Hayward wouldn’t even work unless it was a sign and trade.

I know this is going to be unpopular.

If Meyers Leonard comes up as a possibility they should get him back as a backup.

He went from starting in Miami to a string of DNP-CD. Doesn't that strike you as a big red flag?

I think he goes to either the Clips or Lakers. Maybe even Phoenix.
He and his wife love the outdoors and sun so they will stay away from a rainy town.

He's very big on the Miami team culture and that's a big selling point for him. He also wants to be on a team that's a serious contender. Playing time is important as well. He said he is willing to take a pay cut and a one year deal to stay in Miami.

And another out-of-thin-air idea from BR.

LeVert, Dinwiddie, and a 1st rd pick for CJ. Give the Nets their "3rd star" (snort!) while the Blazers get deeper. I'd seriously think about it!

I would prefer to keep CJ, but at least this makes me think.

this trade doesn't work with the contracts. Brooklyn would need to include nearly 11M more in salaries to match.
