I like Clarke but that would probably cost a first.

we shouldn’t be giving up first round picks for role players imo, unless it’s for a star in that role, like draymond. Those are assets we need if we wanna trade for a “star” at some point, and also if we go into a full rebuild.

WHAT???? Please share our starting forward’s stats with us and then tell me just how great RoCo is! He’s a nice guy….he seats at the ball and does pick up some cagey steals and all…but 8.5 points / 6.7 boards / 1.7 steals a game = not even starter stats

Well, haven't checked this stats, but they look pretty solid for a guy that wasn't an option in Stotts team:) He was behind Hero ball brothers and their friend Melo (like every other team member) and behind Nurk and Powell at their time of playing:)

RoCo is our first proper 3nD since Wes left.

I provided you with his stats:

    8.5 points
    6.7 boards
    1.7 steals

I’m not impressed for a starting PF

I’m not trying to be mean - but championship teams are not made with so-so players. This team, as it’s presented today, “may” finish in 9th or 10th in the West. Why? So-so players with the exception of Dame.

Our only hope is a trade of CJ for Siakam or perhaps Simmons. But the best trade would be Nurk and CJ to Minny for a star player - KAT. Now you wouldn’t need RoCo to score above ten points.

All the California teams, Phoenix, Utah, Denver, then comes Memphis, Portland etc. The Blazers bench, where it stands now, is simply a disaster. Anfernee is your top bench player? Once Nurk goes down, and he will for some sort of injury, then this will have to be a total small ball team. Just terrible.

I mean not all of the California teams... Sac still doesn't scare me. Also the idea that Klay will be the same Klay he was before he had an ACL go on one leg and an Achilles go one the other is something people seem to be assuming and that's really weird to me. If Klay is more Hoodie and less KD after his come back then the Warriors are not that great.

Don't get me wrong that still leaves 4 teams solidly better than us with Memphis, Dallas and the Warriors regardless of Klay, being major problems for us too.

My Random Trade Idea that won't happen:
    Ant for Precious

    they have too many forwards.

This should work in September when the Celts can trade Richardson again in any packages.

that said, i think CJ makes a lot of sense for Boston. If we're looking for teams to send him to, they might be near the top of the list. Even with Schroeder, they could use him.

I don't really care for Tobias that much, but this would be enticing. We let Philly give up the pick for Nance instead of us.

Why do I feel like Morey would refuse to make that deal simply because it would lessen the chances of him being able to trade for Dame?

Also, make it Brandon Clarke that comes here for the first (as discussed earlier in the thread) instead of Nance, and then I'm really interested.
