Oh what’s that, Dwight Howard needs surgery? Wizards suck at shooting threes? Need a positive guy in the locker room?

A disappointment so far? At this point he's a worse career 3 point shooter than Turner. Has a low BBIQ. Nothing about his game suggests he's unselfish. He hasn't been good on defense either, at least not like he was advertised to be. Oh and he threatened to beat up a woman at Kansas. Sure, he could be a good buy low candidate I guess???

He averages over 3 assists per/36 and was known for his unselfish play and playmaking ability in college. And the “low bball IQ” also contradicts almost every scouting report on him. His main issue is his shot and limitations creating for himself.

Averaging 3 assists per/36 means you're a playmaker? Heck, ISO CJ has a career average of 3.5 assists per/36.

That’d be impressive if he wasn’t a ball dominant guard, so you’re not saying much.

If you think Jackson is selfish, you’ve never watched him play.

Well I never said that he was selfish, but he definitely isn't unselfish either. College might be a different story but he's in the NBA now.

Leonard and a protected pick (or Trent?)

Leonard, Aminu, Curry, and a pick for Fultz and Chandler?

Could run a second unit of Fultz, Stauskas, Turner, Layman, Collins. Fultz would also fit with Dame and CJ because of his length.

Hmm, I wasn’t with it at first because we have so many guards, but me love reclamation projects. And if anyone can do it, it’s Portland, especially a guard.

Zero chance they take Meyers, they need to have some cap left next offseason so if they trade Fultz it's going to be for an expiring most likely.

Aminu would actually make sense for Philly.

Meyers with a pick has no chance at happening. They probably want cap space to make a run at guys like Tobias Harris, Kawhi Leonard, and other top free agents.

Aminu, a pick in 2019, and a Lottery protected Right to Swap in 2020 makes sense both ways, IMO. They get a pick, can upgrade another, and get some frontcourt help that's expiring, can inconsistently hit shots, and is switchable with Simmons, Chandler, and Butler.

I agree that they will want cap space but I'm not sure if they are able to create enough room to go after anybody over $20million while also resigning Butler?

Actually having looked at their cap situation if they remove Fultz from the rotation they only have Embiid at $27.2million, Simmons at $8.1million, Zhaire Smith at $3million, Shamet at $2.0million and Bolden at $1.7million locked for 2019-20. That adds up to $42million. Butler's cap hold will be $29.7million though if he opts out as he makes over $19million this year, if you add it then it's $72million. Salary cap is projected at $109million so that would be $37million before resigning Butler but you need to consider that it's just 6 players and you need to reserve minimum salaries for the rest of the roster because you cannot go into season with 7 players. I don't think they will be able to create max slot.

Reserve slots are $500K, I believe, so you're talking about $34M in space. A 30% MAX would make $32.7M as a starting salary.

Oh, indeed. I somehow though reserve slots had to be minimum salary so about $1million.

They'd need to renounce Redick though. Maybe he would re-sign there for minimum next year but I doubt it. Basically you'd be looking at Embiid, Simmons, Butler, a new free agent (Kemba? Kawhi?) and a bunch of complete scrubs - which won't be that dissimilar to Warriors who will have Curry, Klay, Green, Iguodala, Livingston and a bunch of scrubs.

I suspect Sixers would prefer to go for 3-4 guys around $10million mark for depth and then re-sign Butler.

I think they'd resign Redick for the cap exception.

He’s really not much different than Baldwin. Doesn’t fit with Turner, Dame or CJ. Rather go after Fultz if we’re doing reclamation projects. Don’t know how you can say he’s better than Turner either. He’s proven nothing.

I have no interest in sending a pick for someone who, while he has potential, has serious bust written all over him thus far. I'd send the Aminu for Fultz and they give us a pick. Proven commodity vs. reclamation project.
