No it’s speculation but I don’t think there is a team that will just trade for Hayward alone. They’d have to attach young talent or picks. They’d probably much rather have up Hayward than Rozier at this point.
I think that's probably what they would like to do but more likely they'll wait a year until he is an expiring contract. I understand we are all just speculating. The trade I proposed would probably only happen if McDaniels told them he would not be signing with them in the summer and we have no idea what his intentionsa are.
Phoenix does need to get their next PG and Ant beside Booker is nice. And they've been trying to ship out Crowder ... and they paid up (but didn't want to) on Ayton. Ayton + Cam Johnson + Jae Crowder = Ant + Nurkic + Hart. Just trying to come up with a "fair" trade for each.
Would you consider M Bridges for Ant straight across? They have Cam ready to play starting SF. Salaries work. They need a PG & We need a legit 3.
He's 26, will be 27 for the start of next season. He just signed a 4 year, 90 million dollar extension
The more I watch I think Ayton would be the perfect kind of Center for this Blazers team. Nurk/Hart for Ayton works but I’m guessing the Suns laugh at that. I’m not saying I really like Ayton just that an athletic big who can rim run and rebound might be nice.
You're probably right. Was thinking they may look at post CP3 and their salary. Not sure they will be able to afford Cam Johnson & Bridges. Bridges is the better defender by a mile than Simons but Ant may have the better offense and fit next to Booker. Bridges stats are not all that super all star great either.
I'll take Cam Johnson then. 6'9" wing that would fit with Grant. Going to be an URFA. Not sure Suns want to afford both Bridges and Johnson at the same position?
Is this article accurate? A negative wing span of 6'7"? He is a solid defender for sure but if length is the goal I would not give up too much for him. https://valleyofthesuns.com/2022/02/12/suns-better-mikal-bridges-cameron-johnson/ "The case for Cameron Johnson Johnson stands two inches taller than Bridges at six-foot-eight, but he wields a smaller wingspan at six-foot-seven. However, he remains a standout defender all the same."
I wouldn't take Johnson without it being a sign-and-trade. Why trade for someone who could walk away at the end of the season? That is essentially giving up assets for potentially nothing.
I see two places that have him at 6'10" wingspan. https://nbathlete.com/2019-prospect-profiles/cameron-johnson/
speaking of Cam Johnson's free agent status, it's beginning to look like this off-season could have an interesting unrestricted free agent class Russell Westbrook Kyrie Irving Kevin Love D'Angelo Russell Nikola Vucevic Harrison Barnes Jerami Grant Myles Turner Caris LeVert Will Barton Christian Wood Terrence Ross Brook Lopez Patrick Beverley Kelly Oubre Jr. Josh Richardson Dillon Brooks Dwight Powell Reggie Jackson Danny Green Jae Crowder Jakob Poeltl Mason Plumlee Seth Curry Lonnie Walker IV Cory Joseph Torrey Craig Justise Winslow Boban Marjanovic Georges Niang Robin Lopez Goran Dragic Markieff Morris and that doesn't include guys like Josh Hart who have contract options. I haven't looked closely at how much actual cap-space will be out there next summer; kind of pointless till after the trade deadline. But a quick glance says there won't be much, and most of that will be in the less popular small markets
