he is a poor defender, I'd prefer more of a PF/C

So are the Lakers stupid for wanting 33 year old player like Bojan Bogdanović? Especially when they are at 19-23 in 13 seed and out of the playoffs. Isn’t he too old? Why would they take that kind of a chance?

I prefer length. I also prefer guys who can put the ball thru the hoop and have length. He’d immediately upgrade our ability to create. Still has a lot of room to grow.

We should be thinking about the future. We aren’t winning shit with Lillard.

If we could get that pick back from Chicago, Would you trade Ant in a trade for Derozan?

He can't be traded until the offseason, for one. It's almost certain they don't move him, so doesn't seem like a good exercise anyways.

    No. DeRozan isn't the answer.

DeRozan would easily be a better player than the 2nd best we have now. But, it’s very likely his window is closing quickly.

Lets see how your 'future all-star' did tonight...

    Pnts: 0
    FG: 0-7
    Reb: 1
    Ast: 1
    TO: 1
    Fouls: 3
    +/-: -6
All in 20 mins of play. :)

Didn't you just post a clip of one game to show how he's "putting it all together"?
Fact is, he's 4 years in, and has shown no real improvement in basically any area. I don't know how exactly that's starting to put it all together. I'd take him for free/matching salary, to gamble on perceived talent, but often times, after 4 years, guys have shown you who they are.

I have several game clips I could show. I chose just one.

A big reason he hasn’t been able to put it all together because of various injuries.

If he were traded to Portland he’d easily be our best bench player

Was it ever made public why Rui spent so much time away from the team, for whatever the personal reasons were? I can't imagine that has anything to do with them looking to move on from him... He's basically a likeable Ben Simmons, after that episode.

Yeah, I have ESPN+ and when I read this I came to the conclusion that Marks either doesn't like us or doesn't really give a lot of thought to our situation. Why in the fuck would we trade two of our 6'6" and under guys to get three more? I get the idea that we might want a legit backup PG but that is only if we trade Ant. The fact that he doesn't once mention our lack of size/length is extremely problematic for me. I understand that it's not easy being up to date on the needs of every team in the league but that's what Bobby Marks claims to be. He either hates us, is an idiot or hasn't done his homework in regards to our team. Keon and Josh for Duarte, McConnell and Garrison Mathews?!? We get functionally smaller because none of those guys plays bigger than they are like Hart does... and we need to get bigger not smaller. We also need to streamline what our perimeter rotation looks like, not muck it up further by adding to it. Fucking ridiculous.

Some of the trades proposed by Lakers fans although not as fair when looking at it from a talent exchange perspective at least make more sense when looking at our roster.

Got home sick from his parents in Japan and was reportedly battling depression is the speculation I’ve heard.

Chris Haynes said in an interview with Jaynes that Ant is not going to be traded and the Blazers are really high on him ..he said actually no Blazers are in the trade rumor mill but there's still a couple of weeks and things could change.

Yes... It's one game. I just thought it was a little ironic that you were touting him as having all-star potential & then showed up with this turd of a game.

    This is exactly correct.
When he was coming out of Gonzaga, I REALLY wanted to like his game.... Unfortunately, he sort of has lead feet (is not especially quick). I can't see him being any more than a good bench player (or fringe starter for a meh-level team).
I think he'd be a good fit for Portland coming off the bench. A more experienced/better Jabari Walker.

I wonder if we could facilitate Rui to Utah and get Vanderbilt with a combo of second rounders, Keon, and Watford?

i get that it doesn’t add scoring and keeps a big scoring load on Dame, but Josh could play near-exclusively at 2 and paring Jarred and Gary with shooters (Dame or Ant, Jerami, and Nas) in a small ball press and switching bench mob would be filthy.

Another unit that features a lot of pick n roll and less switching could also be fun to watch (Dame or Ant, Josh, Sharpe, Winslow, Nurk).
