Evans still has the tools. JJ Hickson looked pretty bad on the Kings just a few weeks ago, and now look how he's playing...

Evans is a tweener, if you trade LA IMO you go for a top PG or all star player at least, Evans is IMO not the guy

Who? Rondo? There's nobody else out there. I've thought about it. Maybe the Wiz would part with Wall but I doubt it.

Evans isn't worth LA. Evans is not a top tier PG nor will he ever be, he is another monte ellis without the athleticism.

I said Evans AND their lottery pick this year, which could be as high as #1 or #2. I would love to get MKG or Anthony Davis.

I like Evans and think the Kings are doing his career a disservice by trying to force him to be something he isn't. Obviously trading Aldridge is not a winning plan, but I do like the idea of an Evans type player on this team. I'm a total advocate of moving into the early 20's of this years draft (via buying another pick as we've done in the past, or even a trade) and grabbing Tony Wroten. Kid is dynamic, and has tremendous size, and far more of a natural point then Evans ever was.

New team more promise? He was pretty much buried in sactown. And that team is a worse lotto team than we are.

This guy would be a real project. No right hand, 58% on free throws and 18% three pointers and has more turnovers than assists. He is only 18 though.

True on all accounts. You can teach shooting though, and as you said he's young and that shot will get better. He is left hand dominant, but still dominated at the college level, as only an 18 year old. He has unteachable skills though, which is what I like. Height, athleticism, court vision, and ability to finish at the basket. You can teach dribbling with the oft hand, and shooting jumpers, you can't teach the ability to drive to the hoop and find the open man. I like him, but he probably should be considered a project.

Hickson is a good ballplayer. He definitely has a role with us if we can keep him. We just need to get lucky with the ping pong balls now.

POR is a team desperately needing quality bigs, so we perhaps finally find one in JJ and then there is talk of trading our ONLY other quality big who happens to be an all star - just how fukkin stupid is that? (shakes head) In addition I think JJ and LMA's games can complement one another and they could often play together

    That I can agree with.

Although if you are rebuilding, then it wouldn't be fair to Aldridge to use up his prime years for the rebuild. I'm against a full rebuild and actually think we could rebuild very quickly.

LMA will be what? 27 soon and he is a skilled PF that frankly does not really too much on athleticism, he's got at least 5 prime years left and should be solid till 34 at least. Batum and Hickson are 23, Ewill is 22 or 23, and we can add a couple players via trade that or FA that fit right into that gropup. LMA IMO fits very nicely with that group IMO

Interesting comments. I doubt he played bad on purpose to force his way out of Sac town. I mean Cleveland and Portland are not exactly top destination spots in the NBA. And he played well (so far) in 2 of his 3 places. I am curious to why Petrie would just cut himm intsead of trading him. I wonder how much power he has for that franchise, because he has made some curious moves the last few years. Is he still calling the shots? Would we still want him as a GM?
