I'd make Betances a closer, to see how he handles it. I always like Robinson more as a set up man....Gardner, IMO, is overpaid, 15 mil...? I don't see him being worth that. I'm right there with you on giving Betances a shot as closing. Was not all that warm and fuzzy about D-rob following Mo, they guy man has had some adventuresome innings out there. Betances is just flat out scary, now have Mo come and teach him that cutter. I'm right there with Gardners salary but he's made some great plays in the field. Gardner reminds me a bit oh Hunter Pence, a bit awkward in places but a contributor at some of the most right times.
I'm with you on all those points.... ya' know I never thought of Gardner as a Hunter Pence, but yeah, I can see this as a good comparison. Only differences I've seen is: Pence hits with more power, and Brett steals more bases.
