Bummer. I don't think he's a huge difference maker, but he's got talent, and for 2nd rounders, would have liked taking a flyer on him.
I agree but will withhold my judgment until after the deadline or if I think a trade made before the deadline is an absolute fuck up. Hoping Joe has shit in the works that makes this all make sense but I'm not holding my breath but again after Chauncey and Dame's pressers last night, it's pretty clear that there will be moves. Those are the kind of gambles you need to take if you’re Portland and we sit mum

I don’t want to trade sharpe but I do agree with you. If we keep building team around Damien, we need to be taking some gambles and looking at more veteran type players to build around Dame. DeRozan, Siakam, LaVine etc..Those are the kind of gambles you need to take if you’re Portland and we sit mum
hachimura isn’t good imo. Horrible defender, streaky scorer. Bench fodder. We can do better.
Did we have 3 second rounders to give..?
We currently have five second rounders we can trade: the higher pick between the Hornets or Wolves 2024, the Pelicans in 2027 and ours in 2027-29.Did we have 3 second rounders to give..?
Agree on everything, including that we can do better. We WON'T, but we can.hachimura isn’t good imo. Horrible defender, streaky scorer. Bench fodder. We can do better.
Especially now that we have Mike Schmitz to find gems in the 2nd round.Portland doesn't need to be sending second rounders for an expiring contract that might help us battle to 10th place in the conference.
Yea because that’s going to help Dame win a championship.Especially now that we have Mike Schmitz to find gems in the 2nd round.

Joe said he knew the roster was incomplete but wanted to see different combinations of different guys playing together to get a sense of what moves to make at this trade deadline and in the off-season... I think he added this off-season because he didn't want rival execs to think his back is up against the wall right now and knowing our ownership it probably isn't. So yeah, I think the speculative part of that article is what you pointed out but the substantive part is that everyone is on the table right now, which I think is good news."With a revamped cast entering the 2022-23 season, the Trail Blazers had high hopes of making a deep postseason run."
Did they tho??
I don't think anyone had those thoughts, otherwise they should be fired.

This board seems to believe two claims that are hard to reconcile.Joe better have a plan because from top to bottom our roster is worse than when we started the year last year. With just as little flexibility.

1. What you said
2. Jerami Grant is the best forward we've had basically since Aldridge
How many trade rumors threads do we need?
