Havent seen ctg. Will check it out. I'd put him mostly at backup 4 and slide to 3 or 5 on occasion.

Bottom line is he is a versatile player who can defend and rebound. We need guys like that.

I think Vanderbilt would pair well with Nurk, Grant, or Bamba. Each are decent rim protectors and shooters (and, other than Nurk, poor rebounders). I think we might be able to flip Josh and a young guy (Keon at most value, Greg Brown at least value) to grab both of them?

If we really want to move on from Nurk, I feel like a young guy (or second rounders) and Nurk for Plumlee wouldn't be a bad short-term option. it would clear the books and add a passer, tough player, that both Dame and Jerami are familiar playing with. I don't think we'd be world-beaters, but the team below would be much more balanced, better defensively, and more fun to root for.

    Lillard
    Simons/Payton
    Little/Winslow
    Grant/Vanderbilt
    Plumlee/Bamba

with spot minutes for Sharpe, Watford, Eubanks, and Jabari.

Mo Bamba is rebounding at 9 per 36 minutes... so he's not a bad rebounder. I like what you're proposing as far as it balancing out our roster and get's bigs in here that are more mobile and will fit Chauncey's inflexible defensive scheme. So I'll be happier with the team if this is the team.

I will still be saying that the Dame/Ant back court is fucking stupid to have but I'm prepared to have to swallow that pill at least until the off season.

The Mavs should get Simmons too. He and Kyrie could share a rubber room on road trips.

I would not be opposed to picking up Simmons on the very very cheap. The problem is Simmons' salary. Brutal.

That's ridiculous! Ayton is not Wiseman - he's got genuine talent. If the Suns really want to move Ayton I'd offer Ant as part of a package. Trading small for big is very seldom a bad move.

Yeah, I would at least see if Ant and Nurk could get it done. They'd have to send another player back to make salaries work but I wouldn't mind that. Ayton is extremely mobile. The kind of C that would flourish on defense in the Billups system.

Without draft picks going back to Orlando that might end up as one of the worst trades in league history. If Orlando can get Simmons trying to score again it's just a good deal. Suggs could still come around, if Isaacs' injury troubles are behind him, he's a star and Harris is solid.

Not bad but with those players, I would tweak it slightly:

    Lillard/Payton
    Simons/SS
    Vanderbilt/ Little
    Grant/Winslow/Watford
    Bamba/Plumlee
