It was obvious that barring a trade that moves the needle that NO was going to basically trade cap space for future assets. The Cavs would be 4th seed in the west. They really needed to shave off some of the harsh LT they are facing. I like future draft picks. Maybe we win the title and the pick turns into #1. It's happened...
I like that Neil Olshey seems to be a man of substance...when he talks, he actually has something to say
Yep. The pick is top 10 protected for three years, so if the Cavs make the playoffs in 2017-18, we get it. But I don't think that's a lock. LeBron will be 34 in 2018, and I don't see him being able to carry a team at that age. So maybe we don't get the pick until it's unprotected in 2021. Dame will be 31, CJ will be 30, and a nice fat lotto pick then would be perfect timing.
His draft picks also give fantastic interviews; I wonder if that's part of his decision making process in the draft: if you can have a substantive conversation with Neil, you're on the short list.
I doubt its unprotected in 3 years... probably just turns into a second rounder similar to the pick we sent to Denver.
Anyone with ESPN insider tell us whether Pelton said we were "winners or losers." I know he had a positive tweet about us, I just want to know what he said in the article.
From what i have read they can stretch his contract, but they didn't as of now. So it should be like -8Million for our cap space in the summer, or am i missing something? And also, why wave Andy? he's eating your cap even when he's released no? why do it?
They have until the day after he clears waivers to decide if they're going to stretch him. I'd be shocked if they don't. Why waive him now? Roster size limits. They had to waive someone to even receive him (Frazier), and then had to waive someone to receive Roberts. He's the one.
Detroit Nixes Trade... lol Houston get's screwed. http://deadspin.com/the-pistons-are...source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow
Warriors just picked up that Center who we cut....whatshisname...big haired dude.... He could be a problem for us if/when we face them in March.
If you want to know why we didn't pick up Varajao...ask Cleveland. Kaman is a better bottom of the bench big and more likely to be able to play in an actual game..Andy has worn a suit more than a Jersey most of his career.
Verajao is who you're worried about on the Warriors? Not to take anything away Damian's historic night against the Warriors a couple of nights ago, but Verajao is the least of my concerns in a seven game series with the Dubs.
Yeah, I've heard about his injury history and, frankly, if he's even in a jersey when we play him, it will probably be a desperate move on their part. Still....when he's played good, he's played REALLY good. At least...the highlights of him that I've seen. You wanna see someone like Meyers go up against him? I don't. That being said, we do have Plumlee and Davis. .....you know, the more I think about this, the more I feel you guys are right. Nothing to worry about. Never mind.
