The longer Mike Moustakas market stays the way it is the more likely The Yankees have a chance to offer him a 1 year deal to fill the 3B gap as per Dan Federico.
Orioles Zach Britton ruptured Achilles Tendon and is set for Surgery he will be out for 6 Months as per MLB.Com.
Anyone who thinks Moustakas coming off a career year is signing a 1 year contract is either a sportswriter looking to fill up his column or someone who believes in santa claus

...common sense says that Moose will be more likely to get a multi-year deal, but as we've seen many times before, Scott Boras has misjudged the market and overplayed his hand. ...but then again the longer this drags out, the more the possibility that he takes a "pillow deal" and hope for the big pay day next year when there are more big spenders in better financial position than there are this year. And a LHed power bat playing in Yankee Stadium in an already stacked line up would almost guarantee that Moose would see even more good pitches to hammer which could raise his HR #s even higher and give Boras even more leverage for a big contract after next year. ...just a guess but if I had to lay odds, I'd say 60% chance Moustakas signs a multi-year deal vs 40% that he takes a one year deal.
.....^^^^ (I had too much time on my hands, i.e. what follows)= I really thought Moose was headed to Anaheim, or Frisco, back home in LA, so most thought with his glory HS years being in San Fernando. I know it's hard to take any Bor-ASS client serious, but personally I have long pulled for the Moose, running loose in the Bronx; I'd be happy w/him. I do believe he still can bring his b'vag up, while hitting 40hr's. His obp is a bit too low, yet he's proven at times he hits when critical, and his glove play has at times sparkled, from H.S. on, while hitting strides of slumps, followed by hot streaks. another thing has always concerned me about Moose. As a Soph QB, he broke his ankle, which almost ruined his BB career; and ended his 2 sport endeavor. His injury bug of 016, knee, hope last yr proved he's healed. I've never been a fan of So Cal MLB Teams, less High School and University baseball teams. Moose played for Chatsworth H.S. (Dewey Evans also played for t/same H.S.). Moose did something no H.S. player had/has ever done prior or since. He hit 52 Bombs, a CA St. record, 24 in his Sr yr, a Ca St. H.S. record... Baseball Prospectus/America's Player of the Yr Member of USA Jr Natl Team. (made mind boggling OF save for win) vs Cuba in WJCH. Calif LA Inter City Player of Year (along w/the following vets): Walter Johnson Jackie Robinson George Brett Tony Gwynn Eddie Murray honorable mention alumni: Bobby Doerr Ralph Kiner Sparky Anderson Don Larsen Bobby Bonds Gary Carter Robin Yount Don Drysdale Dewey Evans Nomar Garciaparra Jim Fregosi Jason Giambi Jeff Kent Bob Lemon Chet Lemon Fred Lynn Trevor Hoffman Ryan Kleso Gary Maddox Mark McGwire Bob Meusel Ozzie Smith Reggie Smith Duke Snider Daryl Strawberry Eric the red Davis Robin Ventura along w/modern day players Arenado, Bauer, G. Cole, C. Crisp, D. Espinosa, Shields, Trumbo, Pillar, Utely, J. Turner, and tons of others. Not that LA/CIF has a monopoly on players, no more than many other locations. When one looks at per capita of players per location, LA's over-saturated, yet per capita is no better than anywhere else. Some of the best H.S. ballplayers I've seen have come out of SEC schools, ntm- TX and the Plains. But then ballplayers come from all necks of the woods, non better than the other. A city of 20 mil peeps, (counting suburbs), will have it's share of players, who have been noticed since H.S. Moose was drafted out of H.S. w/a 4 Mil signing bonus.... I love the kid, just not sure if he's the right fit for NY, but I'm not against a one year rental, or even a long term deal. Screw Longoria, Cozart Frazier and Machado....let the Moose run loose in the Bronx, ..... https://www.baseballamerica.com/today/high-school/awards/player-of-the-year/2007/264412.html
Ya know, this jackoff Lebatard really just needs to have a large cup of "STFU"...just who does this MFer think he is?
These MoFo asshats need to give respect & credence to their hosts & comprehend/over come (impossible for le bastards), their obvious ignorance of: 1- What answers they're given vs what they want to hear, pre-dispositioned 2 LeBastards bs agenda 2- They're obviously dumbfounded as to how 2 re-build a newly purchased Team. Cut $$$ Costs 1st, take stock, plan & charter the future, As if Jeter's not going 2 bring glory back to his investment. As if Mr. Re2pect doesn't have a plan or clue. Where's the Miami Mob when you need 'em to silence Le Bastards !!!
...I still look for Boston to sign either Moustakas or J D Martinez. If they sign Martinez, The Moose might be forced into taking a one year deal.
Jacoby Ellsbury may consider waiving his No Trade Clause to select Teams including The SF Giants as per Bronx Bombers Beat.
...get on the phone, Cashman....make it happen. ...Yanx trading Ellsbury to SF makes very good sense for BOTH teams.
