Exactly: This answers the "how does that help Portland?" AND "Why does (or doesn't) the other team(s) participate?" It doesn't, and they don't. I like the idea of getting Durant and LeBron, I just don't have a good argument for how that happens. It was funnier to me the time I suggested it.
Despite Toronto's recent success I'm getting the impression that Ujiri doesn't want to give Lowry a 4/40 extension like he's going to command. Most Raps fans don't expect him to play like this next year (contract year syndrome). Also a lot of Raps fans would like to see Ed Davis returned to us but with the way Amir Johnson has been playing he'd still be relegated to the bench for the most part. Lowry could be part of a deadline day trade deal if teams like Chicago and Brooklyn are able to gain major ground in the coming weeks.
My only comment is that trade threads are fine, but just make sure you label them as such, just so there's no confusion about it being a rumor or some kind of breaking news. If the thread title says, "my trade idea" then nobody will click on it wondering if it's something else. That's my only complaint. I have no problem with people spitballing trade ideas. I personally enjoy coming up with trade ideas. One of my favorite times of the year is the offseason because I love the rumors. I love the trades. I love the free agents. It's one of my favorite aspects of pro sports, so I see no problem with other people posting their ideas for public consumption. What I don't like is when people bring others down. If you think the trade won't happen, respectfully say WHY you don't think it will happen, but you don't need to make the person feel stupid for having some fun. If the thread is properly labeled (this one wasn't), and you don't like trade ideas, don't click on them.
I have no complaints. I don't like trade threads and I'm still going click on them and make jokes about what I think are really bad arguments. I just felt obligated to explain to the OP not to take a joke about an argument personally and welcome him to RC2. I see I was the only one to do so. How superior of me!
I really think you'll feel at home with the oregonlive.com Blazers forum with your communication style and need for mocking others (whether it's about the post or not).
What an annoying post. Nobody gives a fuck that it upsets you to see players you talked about being traded. That's some pussy shit, grow a pair. And seriously, quit the superiority complex. Sent from my banana using Tapatalk 4
Some of us love daydreaming about trades. If it bothers you go read another thread and let fellow fans enjoy following their team however they want.
I'm not a big Lowry fan. He's a good player but doesn't he want to start? I don't want a disgruntled player on the bench.
I actually thought the "post" was hilarious... but the follow up posts of explanation were a bit unctuous, if not down right smarmy.
Syco-FAN-tic! And I agree with you. I was sincere toward the OP. The demonstrative loquaciousness was meant for several others, some who even posted in this very thread. I feel better. lol I wonder if it's a similar feeling a misogynist experiences when calling a woman a whore. I digress.
Please avoid attending any comedy show and offering your opinion to the comedian. I fear it will not end well.
Bump to continue the discussion and to show off Blazer Fantatic's crazy over reaction which should bring a smile to forum users around the world.
