Scientific method proves Melo did not make Denver a championship team, nor the Knicks. What makes you think he's going to improve Portland's chances? I thought we were working on defense this season? He's a photo negative of what a defensive player should be. No Melo for me folks! Unselfish team first players are what Rip City is all about these days. If you think the bench was thin last year, sign this guy and you'll have to gut the bench to pay for him.

That is disgusting. I wouldn't want Melo on here even if we kept everyone.

Melo is a horrible team player. He'd kill any momentum and chemistry we have on this team, period.

Revisionist history at it's finest. Denver was two games from beating the Lakers and were serious championship contenders.

Who are the best PGs at defense in the league right now?

Are we watching the same games? Melo is a terrible defender who doesn’t pass and makes his teammates worse. He’s not even the most important player on his own team. He was unhappy in Denver, why would he stay in Portland? This must be a joke post from Knicks fans. If the Blazers traded away 3 of our 4 best players for a one year rental of Melo I would quit following our team.

If he's healthy, Rondo. Next up I'd say Westbrook?

I think I want to see Melo join up with Kobe both on 4 year deals with the Lakers. Those two would be a terrible selfish ball hogging complaining combo. I love to watch the Lakers struggle.

He wants the money more than anything. We can offer him more than anyone else to resign. Carmelo has had more assists than LMA every year except last year.

I absolutely agree about Conley. I would put Westbrook #2 and a healthy Rondo #3

Not possible. No self-respecting Minnesotan would brand himself a Ponder guy.

    Oh wait, I said self-respecting. Nvm--carry on...

Oh god no!!!!! Give up 3 of my favorite players - all TEAM players for 2 of my least favorite - MeloDrama and the worst rebounding 7-footer in NBA history. Melo is all about Melo. He's a selfish ballhog and NOT a team player. Ever notice the first two letters of his nickname spell Me? That's appropriate, because that's what he's all about. And sheesh, people on this board regularly bash Aldridge for being soft and a weak rebounder, and you want to replace him with Andrea Bargnani???? Really?

Well your trade was good for a laugh at least. Seriously the Knicks almost moved Faried for Shumpert straight up. Furthermore, to suggest the Knicks would give up pick in that package is laughable so thanks for that. You want to talk Carmelo for LA the Knicks might listen. You suggest Batum and they hang up or track you down and kick you in the jewels for wasting their time.

Yeah. Because fans of Portland want people that play for the money.

You're starting to make me... ponder... that you're even a Portland fan. Because this is common knowledge.

Then again, someone up there did say you were from Minnesota. FromwaydowntownBang, is that you?

Rondo, Conley, Bradley, Bledsoe if he stops gambling so much, and Paul or Hill.

Nope, born in Portland and Raised in Vancouver. I don't care what the fans want the fact is Melo is better than all three of those players and in my head I'm the GM so I'm doing what is best for the team. I like what I'm seeing from Robinson and if we commit to him as our PFOTF I think he could really flourish. Shumpert is a big combo guard who would fit really well in the lineup next to both Dame and McCollum. For everyone concerned about Melo leaving what team is offering a better lineup around him than
    PG Dame/Williams/Watson
    SG Shump/McCollum/Crabbe/Barton
    SF Melo/Wright/Claver
    PF Robinson/Bargnani
    C Lopez/Freeland/Leonard

    That starting lineup is horrible.

Downgrade in PF without a doubt, no bench for PF

Downgrade in SG, no bench for SG.

Horrible. Melo kills our starting lineup by hogging the ball, which will make Dame less of a PG.

That's about as diplomatic as I'm going to be.

Anthony's a dildo, and I don't even like seeing him stand next to someone in a Blazers uniform, much less wearing one.
    Hell. Fucking. No.
