I'm a Vikings fan. I despise Christian Ponder. Nobody who chooses to pay homage to him in their screen name deserves any kindness, sympathy, or mercy.

Omg! Rudy Gay and Melo on the same team! We'll get like, so many more possessions!

Horford? Atlanta is on the verge of a rebuild. As built, they are a treadmill team.

Brook? The Nets don't look like a playoff team. PP and KG are both in rapid decline. King is the worst GM since John Nash. They also dealt their first-round picks until 2018 iirc.

Sanders? A game changer defensively. A hotheaded Theo Ratliff.

Attainability is one thing, but you're also going to have to give up a lot for a needle mover.

Sanders seem mentally weak. I know that's harsh, but it is what it is - a liability. Joel and Robin make up for their lack of All-Star cred in their smart play, and vertical defense.

Harford is too similar to LA. He's just not big enough for my liking to compliment what LA does, or what the Blazers need - A big that can hold that paint and take up space on his own. Portland would have to give up too much to get him.

Brook would be nice, and no doubt fit, but again, a worst case scenario for Portland. Although, Robin's defense is better in my opinion, and his contract allowed Portland to sign Wright. Brook is on a max, or near max deal. Portland would be cutting off their arms for a better leg.

Out of your list, Horford is the true missing piece (as long as we have Lillard, Aldridge, Matthews or Batum).

Sanders will be a problem here. He has mad anger issues. We know how well sheed was with those very same issues.

I'm not sold on Brook. He's a worse defender than Robin.

I've suggested Horford multiple times in the past. My thought was Batum/Leonard/CJ for Horford/Korver. That would have a chance to be a pretty damn good team.

That doesn't seem like enough. Maybe it's seeing Leonard's name in there and not counting him as any trade value. :dunno:

I did as well. I would do your proposed trade in a heart beat!

Honestly, for a rebuilding team, it's a good player to work on. Batum could actually be a good piece for them. He's young, can run an offense and plays a position they are weak at.

Add Wiggins to that club and they'd be dangerous!

Perhaps. I initially suggested that in the offseason, when we thought we might be seeing some improvement from Leonard, and before CJ was injured. Still, they're two young lottery picks with "potential", and Batum is a young but established player who is probably top 10 in the league in his position. That's exactly the kind of haul you would want for a player like Horford.

The thing that scares me most about losing Batum is the way he's not only been distributing the ball, but spreading the floor. Sure, we have Wes. But do you know how hard it is to defend 3 people that can hit from deep? If they come out to the perimeter, you got the lane open. It's really nice. It's the reason why I think this team is doing so well (helps they hit the shots, obviously.)

I'm sorry but Horford is worth way more than what Batum gives us. It's not even close. We would have another post player, rim protector and has great vision to pass out of doubles.

Yes losing Batum would hurt, but we would immediately see the benefit with Horford.

That's why I suggested bringing Korver back as well. He's a better shooter than Batum is.

Fair enough. I can see where you and Platy are coming from. That wouldn't be so bad.

It makes sense. Also, I completely glossed over Korver. That's not that bad, actually.

If we were in a pinch and struggling, this wouldn't be a bad move.

It's really moot though. Honestly, I think it would require both Matthews and Batum. I don't know if I could do that.

Agreed. That's too big of a hit. But, we don't have any 1st's for awhile do we? Something like 2016. Or was that 2nd rounders?

It's the second rounders, but we can't trade our first cause one is owed to Charlotte

Shit. Then yeah. They'd probably want two starters for horford if they aren't getting solid picks. I could go with one, but not both.

Wonder if Barton has trade value?! Throw him in there.
