Yep, the Sheed deal is out the window now. But to be honest, we still have to believe Warriors will be making some kind of move where Van Exel and Dampier are dealt, where do they look now though? Expect to see some kind of rumor popping up the next week. I'm dissapointed, because when I first heard Sheed was dealt, I thought it was to the Warriors. And then I heard Shareef was in it, so I say great, a 3 team deal, but none of that.
I say let's not touch anything until we get a new coach, a new gm, a new owner, a new point, and some smarter players we could draft. Basically, starting over. We need to have smarter players, not necessarily the most athletic, that know how to make the game easier for themselves and everyone around them. If you're smart, you'll find some way to score or get someone open. We need players that make good decisions, understand the coach, and understand the game and not waste time dribbling and then going on the weak side against two big defenders. This means you Speedy. Then we need leadership from the coach who players can respect and make good decisions and recognize on how to solve the problems in the game. Like a hubie brown or jerry sloane that players look up to. In summary, I think now everybody understands that the warriors play a very out of control basketball game that needs to have an offense run through somebody. Otherwise, there is no organization on offense (and no way to beat the zone or pass out of double team safely) and that leads to collapses on team defense, which leads to unpredictable outcome in the game. Too bad for the injuries though, I think having won more games with having healthy players would have just lied to the fans how good this team can be while trying to penny pinch on a coach and expect to make the playoffs. But maybe i'm being harsh because in this year we lost our biggest scorers to free agency and that Dallas trade and even Musselman is wondering who is his man. Ah jeez, I think starting over again will just lead to a unrecoverable franchise, because so many other teams can start over much much better than the Warriors. Sorry for the long rant.
Imagine who you could get by giving Dampier away, as for who is a good bet, maybe the Timberwolves, Wally and Olokowandi for him.

Wally and Olowokandi are All-Star callibur players when their game is on, maybe one for the other, but both of them for just him? Wow.

Sorry to say, I'm probably bias about Wally, simply because I don't like him, he'd add some great offense to the Warriors though. I don't think simply him would work though, they'd need great defense in compensation, possibly Snow, not Mobley as Yao and Cato handle the defense there as well as him, so he wouldn't have a position. A combination of Dalembert and Dampier switching would be great. No more laziness or even use of the utterly useless Derrick Coleman. Either that or they'll get some other great guys during the draft, he's whom I had in mind. I don't want the Warriors to get Coleman though, nobody deserves that no good bum.

No offense, but why did you start talking about Eric Snow and Cuttino Mobley and Yao and Cato? Wrong forum bro.
Hey Twolvefan, how about a trade back for Latrell Sprewell. I'd like him to choke Musselman for being an idiot coach.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting custodianrules2:</div><div class="quote_post">If Damp is dealt we have no rebounding whatsoever.</div>Is that assuming Foyle and Murphy are both hurt?
Yes, Rudeezy. I'm assuming Murphy won't be fully back until next year and Foyle is still not in game shape. Foyle might give you flashes of it, but he's been off his feet for a while.

So many expectations at the beginning of the season. This is still a very capable Warriors team. DON"T GIVE UP ON THEM YET!
I'll watch the sonics game just to see how badly they want to win and prove they aren't losers. I hope this time Musselman doesn't pull some Dusty Baker crap and throw a game based on a hunch. Man Rudeezy, I just so wanted to believe in this year, but its closing fast. They would have to go on one heck of a run and keep remembering every single game that the game ain't over till its over.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rudeezy:</div><div class="quote_post">DON"T GIVE UP ON THEM YET!</div> Yeah, seriously. Hey Custodian, with all due respect, I think mussleman is doing a fine job for the Warriors. With the exception to that last melt down, this season has already been a surprise. Lets not be too quick in running him out. We Warriors fans have been so patient for so many years now. I would give mussleman some more time in turning the franchise around. It's been hopeful thus far. I like the Warriors basketball that I'm seeing.

I'm still pissed at Dusty too. I blame him for our World Series loss!

It will definately be a battle. The Warriors have faced nearly every problem possible in this first half yet they are still in striking distance. If a few things go their way in the second half, we could have a hella of a run.
That is why I'm thinking the Warriors might have some confidence to win the sonics game because the sonics are injured too. Ray Allen has a shoulder problem. Brent Barry is out for most of the season. Of course I'll look overly hopeful if the Warriors fail as most people foresee the warriors doing tonight.
