That is a great signing to be fair. If he gets minutes to adjust his game and get into form, he is probably going to be as good as Crabbe was for us but at $17M less. That's the sort of player you need to get on your bench to be competitive. Warriors first great team of this decade was based on the likes of Barbosa and Rush, players who were past their best but could use experience to their advantage. Livingston probably belongs to that list as well.

Fantastic signing. One of the best career three point shooters in NBA history, looking at that chart. And I assume that includes his down year with OKC.

Morrow's shooting and Turner's ball handling should help us keep afloat if CJ or Dame miss major minutes. You don't usually have backups who individually make up for star players, so you do it collectively.

His nickname is Chocolate Reign. Gotta love that.

Can a guy have a breakthrough season at 31? Feel like Morrow is in the perfect system/scenario for us to find out.

Btw his release has to be top 5 quickest in the league.

This is for people who spout before they do research:

    He shot 42% in CHI.

He's going to get some really clean looks playing in Stotts system, so his percentage might actually go higher than his career number. I was obviously a fan of Crabbe the player, but not so much the contract, so itd be hilarious if Morrow replaced the production at a vet minimum salary.

Damn dude, why you gotta play the race card?

It's obviously because his safe word is cacao:

One more reason he'll be a perfect fit in Portland.

9 games is a huge sample - NOT.

He hit 6 of 14 three attempts in Chicago.

Whereas he hit 35 of 119 in OKC. Good for .294 from 3pt. Shy of 1/2 the # of 3s taken by Crabbe. About the same # as Turner and at a similar %.

That said, I suspect last season was clearly an outlier and expect far better from him this season.

So look... I love my Blazer fans and don't want to see them hurt in any way.

See Nurk's big pop has a very particular set of skills. Skills he's acquired over a very long career. Skills that make him a nightmare for people like you.
If you acknowledge Jusuf's LOCK on the MIP trophy, that'll be the end of it. He will not look for you, he will not pursue you, but if you do, he will look for you, he will find you and he will kill you.

And...You better not say SHIT about his pink shirt.

Nurk, Harkless, Vonleh, Morrow and Meyers, all MIP candidates this year.

    Because: Blazers! ;)

Oh, sorry, I thought this was the "Hope Springs Eternal" thread :)

But it's true, in the whole NBA, Nurk IMO is the one to beat.
    • Contract year
    • Best shape of his career
    • Will have a full grasp of the system
    • Pissed at his 79 2K player rating (ok I just added that one :D)

    It's a perfect M.I.P storm.

And that 35 - 119 he shot in OKC last season is also tiny compared to the 772 - 1,818 (.425) he shot during the other eight and a half years of his NBA career.

As I've pointed our several times in this thread, OKC's Westbrook dominant offense last season was not conducive to good 3-point shooting. OKC was dead last in the league in 3FG%. A rhythm shooter, especially one with Morrow's history, should fare much better in Stotts' flow offense.

Morrow will get the same open catch and shoot opportunities that Crabbe (and Harkless and Aminu) got last season. He will go from an offense that relied on one player creating havoc to one that relies on all five players getting the ball to the open man.

Prior to signing Morrow, Dudley was one of my preferred targets for use of the Crabbe TPE. Solid 3-point shooter, excellent team defender and off the charts BBIQ. Would be a great mentor for our young guys. Most likely will be an NBA coach someday.

When he's on the other team.

I suspect he's one of those guys you root for when he's on your team, but hate him when he's not.

    Danny Ainge was like that.
