Good to hear the comments about Meyers looking decent. Even if it's just fan-fest that's good to hear considering how much we all love to pile on the guy.

I also like the comments about CJ. I've been high on him since day one so I'm hoping for a good year.

But mostly I'm just glad we won this year.

He had a couple of post up moves that were good, and didn't shrink away from the ball, plus his jumper was falling. I know that sounds like damning with faint praise, but he did look decent.

I know it was just a Fan Fest glorified pick up game, but our bench is going to be so much better this season. Do not underestimate the impact Kaman and Blake will have. They bring a lot of experience and stability to the second unit. Kaman give us a legitimate back up NBA center (who could still start on about 1/4 of the teams in the league) and Blake is a pass first PG who will run the offense and get the young guys involved.

I thought C.J. and Barton both looked really good and should be able to make up for the loss of Mo's scoring. Barton seems to be playing more under control, slowing down and making better decisions. That will earn him more PT, which is good because he can do so many things (scoring, rebounding, defense).

So, we added two solid veterans to the bench and our young guys are another year older and better. Can't wait for the season to start!

The only player who we care about (i.e., not poor old Victor) who didn't really show anything was T-Rob. But (a) he did have that one epic block that was called a foul, and (b) he has been injured (I guess).

Oh, and Freeland didn't really show much, but you never expect him to in this kind of forum.

I would love for him "Leonard" to play well enough for me to shut my mouth about him. He's been the only player I've harped on. I would love to be able to cheer him on!

Like you guys keep saying, every center regresses in his first 5 years, so just be patient for another 3. It's not like there are dozens of better players, squeezed out of the league every year, available for free or anything.

While we wait, enjoy his shooting!

The issue with Leonard has never been his offense or rebounding, the problem has always been that he is (was?) simply clueless on defense.
If he can hold his own defensively he could be a very good player but If he doesn't figure it out he's not worth even another contract.

It's such a pet peeve of mine when people mistake "here here" for the right "hear, hear!"

You should talk. You couldn't even be bothered to spell out you full moniker, jelliedpork, but had to abbreviate it.
