Found a picture of him this off season where he is preparing for his all but certain signing in Portland. You cannot see it in this picture, but his socks are made from the PDX carpet.
No, I just want to see how many games into the season before Mike Rice realizes what he's been saying.
If JR Smith did indeed sign with the Lakers then I think that makes it much more likely that CLE would match an offer sheet on Delly. Unless it was obscene of course.
Dave McMenamin ✔@mcten Matthew Dellavedova will return to the Cavs on a one-year deal worth approximately $1.2 million, source w/ knowledge of the deal tells ESPN 8:53 AM - 27 Jul 2015
Marc Stein ✔@ESPNSteinLine This way Dellavedova can return to free agency next summer as an unrestricted free agent. And word is that another motivation here ... 9:02 AM - 27 Jul 2015
I was thinking Blazers might throw a 2-3mill/year for 2-3 years at him. It would have got his attention. He's taking a big risk, but is also probably confident in his abilities.
Maybe the Cavs dealt Haywood and the picks to us instead of the other teams with cap space in exchange for us not offering Delly a contract.
What's to stop Cleveland's GM from saying, "We'll trade you these two scrubs for a couple 2nd round picks. Superficially, it might sound like we're doing it as a favor so you don't extend Delly a contract, but obviously that's not allowed in the new CBA." With an over-the-air wink wink, of course.
