Over the years I've seen maybe 4 or 5 uniform/logo articles, but this one is more extensive. Who wrote it? This guy Lukas is really into it.
The original bad ass uniforms ... rates up there with the Yankees/Cowboys/Celtics/Lakers, and should be Top 5.
Weird list. Iconic until #12, where somehow the Phillies, who have literally worn baby blue and red as a color combination, appear at #12, only to see other 'iconic' uniforms at 13-19. Inexplicably, Golden State (?!?!) appears at #20, and then Utah, who have had more color changes in 30 years than most teams have in 100, are at #22?
Oh, and the Yankees not being #1 is simply ridiculous. Iconic, stylish, and so timeless that other teams still try to copy it. I hate the Yankees, too.
The Canadiens have been around virtually as long as the Yankees, and have never changed their colors or uniform either
Whoopity-doo. They still aren't the single most recognizable uniform in the history of North American professional sports.
Nobody, outside of you, seems to agree with much of the list. But, I guess that's the point of making such lists.
Because people from LA are superficial. They are all about being as glitzy and gaudy as possible in a pathetic attempt to stand out from the crowd. That makes the hideous piss and purple the perfect color combo for LA's favorite team. BNM
Interesting comment about the Blazers. I thought the circle in the middle of the logo, created by the termination of the 10 lines, represented a basketball. Lukas is a freak about uniforms, so I'm probably wrong.
Both, I thought. Five players on each side, fluid motion, converging into a basketball in the center. It can also be viewed as the players converging at center court, as for the tipoff. Pure poetry. I'm undoubtedly a little biased but I think it rocks.
