cheers for all these updates Speeds... got me up to date real quick. Interested to see how Ozil works out if deal goes through. Dude is TINY
Compared to Wilshere and Cazorla he's a giant. With him the issue isn't so much his weight (he looks to have filled out a little since joining Madrid) or height (nearly six-foot) but his strength and conditioning. At least he's (hopefully) coming to a team that revolutionized training and diet in the Premiership.
Goal has learned that Ozil has signed a deal worth £130,000-a-week that will run until 2018 after Real Madrid gave the green light to his departure.
The signing of Flamini took us out of the running for a central defender/holding midfielder. Hopefully he's more than a stopgap and is someone that will be with us for a few years playing at a high level.
Ozil will go a long way to making up for the loss of Nasri, Fabregas, and Song. His creativity and passing are greatly needed.
Roma, West Ham, Newcastle, and others are though to be interested in Demba Ba but the striker would like to stay in London, putting Arsenal at the head of the queue.
Palermo forward Abel Hernandez reportedly desperate to move to London. Supposing this is our other option along with Ba.
Long-shot but still in the news: Mata -- The Spain international is reported to be in advanced talks with PSG over a move from Chelsea, but the Gunners' interest is still believed to be active - with a bid of £35m expected.
Arsenal's ambitious bid for #Ö would not only shatter their transfer record but also that of both Manchester clubs.
John Cross @johncrossmirror 24m Arsenal have done the second biggest deal in English football history. I think that answers the ambition question. Ozil genuine world class.
Madrid fans chant at the team not to sell Ozil.
